Giuliani Pals Expected In Kyiv Before Arrest | Talking Points Memo

The Sacher Torte.

Throw in some brussel sprouts and sprinkle on some cilantro on top and some poor, misguided souls on this board would actually claim to find it edible (but they would be wrong…)

“Pals” seems like a Mob vernacular.

Very Presidential.

And not just for the exclusive scoop – that’s just the cherry on top. I’ve been really happy that Josh Kovensky has been able to flesh out a lot of things about Ukraine for those of us who don’t have any breadth of understanding about the region. It’s been immeasurably helpful.

Yeah, the new version was updated just for Trump. Now you can have multiple guilty people…

But they make the big bucks. I would just giggle myself to death if this whole mess took those two smarmy faces off my screen forever.

Groucho Marx had their number, “He may look like an idiot and talk like an idiot but don’t let that fool you. He really is an idiot.”

In order to run a successful criminal conspiracy, you need people of intelligence to be running the show, but clearly nobody involved has two brain cells to rub together. When everyone’s just looking out for Number One, no one’s looking out for the interests of the group. Yet another Tragedy of the Commons [for dumb criminals].

“Cruller and Torteuous”?

The military here won’t give him a big military parade. This is just a “Trump-boy in the Big Rig” moment.

Those two remind me of poker players in the kitchen of the underground strip joint, who John Wick shoots in the face on his way back to the bossman’s office.

I think it’s at least equally possible that the Ukrainians were soliciting bribes from The Rump, as the other way around.

Kovensky is Killary Klinton’s deep state fake news flunky whose job is to convince liberals that our favorite President is some sort of stupid criminal.

Kolomoisky said in August that the conflict was over, and that he planned on resolving it via an out-of-court settlement.

“It will be resolved by a peaceful settlement,” Kolomoisky told a Ukrainian news outlet.

Please forgive me if I’m missing something, but who settles a lawsuit when you’ve been accused by the plaintiffs of plotting to have them murdered?

Josh (Marshall) called this, in a way, a close to three years ago, and I’m rather impressed with myself that I found the piece immediately by googling his name, Jeff Sessions, and lying. It was about Russia, but as we now know, Trump Russia and Trump Ukraine is the same story.

My biggest takeaway is that this scandal has all the attributes of the vast and shattering scandals in which people who at least appear to have only indirect or limited roles themselves keep getting pulled under or compromised by it.

From Josh M’s post:

Rudy really seems to be the Moe Green character for Eastern Europe here. He comes in, with his “money” and his “connections,” and expects the oligarchs to roll over for him and give him exactly what he wants. He doesn’t seem to have a clue how much money and power they really hold in comparison to him.

In the not-too-distant future, we will be talking about the Rudy Giuliani(s) of villains.

Batman villains have more gravitas.

I can’t help thinking of the 3 stooges, but I can’t figure out if Rudy is Moe or Shemp…

No. It will be: " no bribery, no extortion, no threat to US national security, let alone to thewelfare of Ukraine", Moscow Don the Con

Yes, we can patiently await a fusillade of lies, more lies and distractions from Moscow Don the Con, who has been visibly caught red-handed in committing at least one impeachable offense.

Bribery is mentioned in the Constitution as one basis for impeachment.

What will the Traitorous RepubLaThug Party (R-Russia) do with all this?

Stay tuned…
