Giuliani Pals Expected In Kyiv Before Arrest | Talking Points Memo

Why is anyone surprised with the final destination? They sure weren’t headed to the Riviera on vacation. One way tickets? Bad business? Where’s there no extradition back to the States?

No surprises here.

I’m surprised that anyone would be surprised.

It will be the 75th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War. Should be quite a celebration.

Maybe if you only get a one-way ticket?

Yes. If this story is ever fully told, there will be a lot more about Epstein and what he knew. And about who purchased his knowledge.

Bruce Marks, an attorney representing Kolomoisky in civil matters in the U.S., told TPM that the pair had asked the oligarch to pay them in exchange for access to top U.S. officials.
“Long story short, he threw them out,” Marks said.
[…]
Within days, Parnas and Fruman sued Kolomoisky, accusing him of threatening to have them killed. Parnas and Fruman demanded 200 million Hryvnia ($8.1 million) in damages as part of the lawsuit.

Sounds like a fun bunch of people you’d definitely want to do business with.

Ouch!

…why is this story an Exclusive? We already know these two are Giuliani men. Why does it matter, or surprise, that they were headed to Kiev?

Anyone have a guess to Bolton’s game here?

John R. Bolton, President Trump’s former national security adviser, has knowledge of “many relevant meetings and conversations” connected to the Ukraine pressure campaign that House impeachment investigators do not yet know about, his lawyer told lawmakers on Friday.

Exclusive-- means that TPM is breaking the story, all self-reported.

That new fact that their final destination was to be Kiev, Ukraine.

Not a surprise, but the more confirmation the better.

So then can we agree this ‘exclusive’ story isn’t really worthy of all the large print headline?

They just want to brag that they got a scoop, give Kovensky the chance to get some screenshots of his big day.

O/T: Well, Fox News just announced to all of their followers the identity of the suspected WB…

His timing is impeccable, with that new pedophilia civil complaint and everything. I just knew that Kevin would suck at this job!

At this point, I’m not sure. He doesn’t want the Dems back in charge of the government since they won’t support the military campaigns he wants, but he realizes that the Trumpites are too idiotic and uncontrollable to get what he wants either. He’s going to want to thread the needle to force the Trumpites (and King Trumpite himself) out of power, but somehow create a path to a “sensible” Republican to take the reins.

Certain statements have been made in the past about camels and the eyes of needles that seem more probable, but that’s what Bolton’s facing. No idea how he hopes to achieve that. Perhaps he doesn’t know himself.

I expect Mr. Larson to have a visit from law enforcement before the sun goes down today.

If he doesn’t. then the rule of law no longer exists in this country.

George Orwell said that by age 50, everyone has the face they deserve.

Judging from the article’s pic of Fruman and Parnas, I’d say Orwell was accurate.
