Trump’s response to Pelosi transmitting the Articles to the Senate (a scenario he has no control over at this particular time). So he
(1) Announces that there will be no witnesses
(2) Sends in the provocateur to rile up the opposition
Of the above two, I would say that the first one is the one he will regret. He can call on Rudy to do this at any time…and it’s relatively harmless. But BOTH (1) and (2) indicate a need by Trump of a way to assert control over a process which is far more serious and far more uncontrollable than stiffing contractors or overcharging for casino parking in Jersey.
ETA A thought…Has Trump been calling Pelosi any names, after she decided to send the Articles to the Reptile in the Senate?
