Giuliani is going to throw Pompeo under the bus if Pompeo tries to throw him under the bus. This is starting to look like some Ptolemic soap opera or a Shakespeare play where everyone ends up dead.

I believe Rudy was the head of the office, so it was the lawyers under him that did the actual work, sort of like the New Jersey Whale.
To be honest, I always expected chaos when things started to unravel for Trump, with everyone who had allied themselves with him to try to find ways to show that they really weren’t, and throw stones at anyone they could as a distraction, while those who remained silent in the face of his malfeasance continued to be silent in the hopes that they would be missed in all the drama and come out somewhat undamaged.
The fact that the chaos is happening makes me thing everyone around Trump is realizing how damaging this is and is figuring out their exit strategery. Yes, strategery, as this is Stupid Watergate that’s what they will put together. I’m waiting to hear from Trump’s family members, they really should be out there trying to defend their father/husband, but I haven’t noted any statements from the four of them at all to this point.
