I am really struck by the disconnect when I think back to the criminalization of the willful transmission of the AIDS virus, and the complete dismissal of any and all concerns over the transmission of Covid-19. I suspect that laws criminalizing it’s transmission had much more to do with criminalizing gay sex. With COVID-19, every single human being on this planet is at risk! But requiring people to change their behaviors to achieve universal protection is apparently too simple for even the Simpletons to understand.
