ā€œWe continue to watch the data and the numbers,ā€ Kemp said earlier this week.

Because, you know, numbers are not really the data I’m interested in. It’s polling data that I’m most concerned about. And if I don’t like the numbers, I’ll just ignore them while I also ignore the health experts. Just because the CDC is in Atlanta doesn’t mean I have ready access to their expertise.

Sounds like CRIMINAL NEGLIGENCE…
For purposely endangering his constituents with Covid by banning health/infection saving measure!

ā€˜DIE you miserable little twits. We WANT you to infect/pass/get the infection because… uh uh uh…oh hell we’ll worry about that LATER!’ What a complete and utter fool.

Brilliant. Another feather in the GOP cap.

It would be reasonable at this point to accuse Kemp and, more generally, southern Republicans to be objectively pro-pandemic.

Meanwhile, here is one GOP gov who is speaking out:

Kemp has also privately expressed reservations about Mayoral attempts to prevent people pushing the elderly into the path of oncoming trains, and efforts to prevent throwing wayward children from atop tall buildings.

What the fuck is wrong with these people? Craven assholes willing - apparently eager - to see people die for a mentally damaged tinpot fascist.

If a time traveller had gone back from 2020 and said the GOP would openly work against the containment of a global pandemic, yet still have voter support, even I wouldn’t have believed it.

He’ll be Pence’s running mate, succeeding Trump after his second term.

As a Georgia resident, Kemp has appalled me just as he appalls people and businesses whose behavior is exactly the opposite of his position. Mask-wearing is such a simple thing. It is so basic that a toddler can grasp the concept. Yet, he only suggests that people wear a mask.

As a teacher, Kemp disdains anyone in education with his adamant position that schools should be open and damn the consequences. My school will remain closed to in-person instruction at the beginning of the year. However, I know of other schools that will open their doors a couple of days per week in deference to the wishes of Kemp and Trump. It only takes one infected person in that environment to light a viral fire throughout the population. Anyone with a a couple of brain cells can extrapolate what happens when that occurs.

Said by the guy that happens to be governor because he was the one that counted the votes
