I have a small collection of campaign buttons that I have amassed over the years tucked away in a drawer. The last time I was in D.C. a few years ago I asked a street vendor who was selling various campaign buttons for a Marion Barry for mayor for button, because, why not? He kind of chuckled and said that he didn’t have one.

I suspect this only happened because Santos was stupid enough to steal from his fellow Republican representatives by defrauding the Republican committee with his fake donations to qualify himself for backing. It being the right thing was just a happy coincidence.

You can only have a margin of error when your party isn’t in error to begin with. They couldn’t pour piss out a boot with the instructions on the heel, or Santos should have been easier to jettison. Pelosi and Jeffries look like the kids of Einstein and Da Vinci when it comes to caucus discipline.

Years ago I was in DC while Barry was still mayor but after his troubles has begun. Anyway I found a t-shirt with a picture of him saying, “I don’t do cocaine, I just like the way it smells when you burn it.” Now tucked away somewhere - I should put it on eBay.

Yes, he has lost the healthcare plan as well as his pension. He did not serve long enough.
On the upside, most prisons have free clinics of a sort.
