Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) has changed her position on impeachment, falling in step with most of her 2020 hopeful peers and saying Friday that it would set a “dangerous precedent” to let President Donald Trump go unpunished.
Well, good for her. I agree that Trump hasn´t left much room for doubt, at this point. I am somewhat worried that he could use this to whip up the base, but we just can´t let him keep breaking things.
Impeachment inquiry too divisive compared to what’s been going on over 2 1/2 years. That’s not divisive and country corrupting. I don’t understand this way of thinking.
The interesting thing is that nobody really cares what she says either way. I don’t hate her. She has even said some things that seemed okay to me at the time (don’t ask me what they were though). But she’s a nothing. Thank you for playing, Tulsi. Next.
I wonder how long it will take until somebody posts a comment saying they don’t want Gabbard’s help for petty reasons…
oh, I see that’s already happened.
Guys, this is how we lose elections. The point should be to get impeachment to happen. If you have grievances to work out, please don’t make that a higher priority than getting rid of Trump.
Kinda slow this lady Ms. Tulsi… she ought to go to work at the White House, they hire dumb people all the time there, job she will need because she is getting primaries big time. Playing Trumptard or even “Moderate” in a D+32 is not auspicious for a long career.
I think this means there are only 12 Democrats who aren’t yet in favor of impeachment. In the end, I doubt there will be more than a handful who vote against it.
From Jennifer Rubin. Even reluctant pols can read.
The polls are already moving in favor of impeachment — and moving fast. An NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist Poll shows a plurality (49 to 46 percent) favors impeachment, a large bump from April, when 39 percent favored and 53 percent did not. Likewise, the Morning Consult polls shows 43 percent favor and 43 percent oppose impeachment, including a small plurality of independents.
