Gabbard Flips On Impeachment To Avoid ‘Banana Republic’

Doesn’t matter, Tulsi. You’re still an asshole. Go have a few drinks with Joe Manchin at some DC watering hole, and then go the fuck away.

I can see a meme about how finally we see the emperor has no clothes.

Just make sure to get testimony on Pence, Barr, the whole gang who facilitated Trump on this.

It must have been exhausting for Ms. Gabbard to hold up her wet finger to the prevailing winds for so long.

Perhaps, but she is a racist and homophobe.

Last sentence is wrong. Gabbard qualified for the debate according to 538 https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/tulsi-gabbard-is-the-12th-candidate-to-make-octobers-democratic-debate/

A racist and homophobe? I heard she belonged to a homophobic church when she was a teenager, but the racism charge is new to me.

I really don´t get the vitriol she elicits from you all.

The soon-to-be impeached occupant has made the decision that Dems can either legislate or investigate so everything pending in Congress will be put on hold including gun safety bills.

Livin’ on Tulsi time…

In other words, a day late and a poll short (or two)…

Oh I think they can walk and chew gum at the same time. And I think they will. There are plenty of hands on deck, and Pelosi knows there’s still an election coming up.

It’s what they do. Give us a topic, particularly a female, and the knives come out. They were tearing Pelosi a new one every day for months, today she’s Joan of Arc, Mother Teresa and Beyonce rolled into one woman.

“Up to this point, I have been opposed to pursuing impeachment because it will further divide our already badly divided country,” she said in a statement.

I must have a really bad memory.

Because I can’t recall a single troll at TPM slamming Gabbard for this.

Like they did Speaker Pelosi.

Month after month after month…

Ha ha, let´s make fun of the peacemakers, as they shall be made fun of.

As Jeebus said.

Normally I would agree with you. But I don’t think we need someone who uses Russian bot talking points to attack other Dem candidates.

As long as he considers what House Dems are doing is “nonsense” legislating will be dead in the water. Worse, acting on bills was going to slow to a crawl sometime in 2020 because it’ll be all about elections by then.

Mr. Trump himself on Wednesday threw cold water on the prospect of reaching any big-picture legislative agreements if Democrats, led by Speaker Nancy Pelosi, pressed ahead with their inquiry.

“I don’t think they can do any deals,” Mr. Trump said in New York as he discussed trade proposals with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan. “You know, we were working on guns — gun safety. They don’t even talk — all they’re talking about is nonsense.”

I don’t follow Tulsi Gabbard. When did she do that? I’m asking seriously.

She would much prefer we be a Soviet satellite — Merikastan.

@littlegirlblue Shall we assume Infrastructure Week is off?

Ah, I see. Dead because of Trump. Absolutely. But that would happen either way, don’t you think?

Whatever. I still do hope they keep passing legislation that matters even if there’s no chance for success. And I hope they get it in the press, just like with the gun legislation.

All three sites celebrated Gabbard’s announcement, defended her positions on Russia and her 2017 meeting with Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad, and attacked those who have suggested she is a pawn for Moscow. The coverage devoted to Gabbard, both in news and commentary, exceeds that afforded to any of the declared or rumored Democratic candidates despite Gabbard’s lack of voter recognition.

BTW, there are less convoluted ways to avoid “Bannana Republic”, maybe she should consider Kohls or Talbots…
