GA AG Subpoenaed In Probe Into Trump’s Election Steal Scheme

So does that make it a “GA AG order”?

Raffensberger can speak the truth, go home, and sleep. I hope Carr suffers.

I wonder if these are “friendly” as in not unwelcome subpoenas, I would hope that they are people of integrity who are horrified by Trump and would dearly love to testify against him. But because of the politics involved they cannot directly come out against him, they have to be compelled.

I’m sure Willis has enough testimony that their input is not necessary. But their testimony will remove any doubt, we’ll see if they really are men of integrity.

June is shaping up to be a historic month. We are living in history, Wow!

Following the conclusion of its investigation, the special grand jury is set to release a report with recommendations on whether Willis should pursue criminal charges against the former president or any of his allies

I’m going to take the over on that, and say that they will definitely recommend filing charges.

Brad Raffensperger (R) — who infamously refused to carry out Trump’s demand that he somehow “find” the votes needed to overturn Joe Biden’s victory in the battleground state

I wouldn’t use the word “infamously” here. Even if he was motivated solely by the desire to preserve his own miserable skin, he did the right thing. Once. And extra credit for recording the call.

Good choice. There will come a time in which the GOP messaging cannot overcome reality.

And there is no point in us helping it along.

Naysaying is not automatically correct.

I was optimistic until the last paragraph. The special grand jury doesn’t have power to issue indictments?

What a complete white-washing waste of time.

That gets handed over to a regular grand jury. In the absence of knowlege, why do you always go negative?

Nope. Bit of a misstep. If you create a controversy with a stupid person by sticking to your guns and doing the right thing, that isn’t “infamous.” Lessee, if you want to convey that he caught hell for it, you might say, oh gosh, just that, even. Not sure there’s one word in English for reverse infamy.

The article clearly explains what happens next. My lay person’s impression is that Willis has been pursuing this very aggressively.

That’s true. He’s likely going to hold on to his job. Who do we have to run against him though?
