Those imprisoned and awaiting trial for alleged crimes related to the Jan. 6 insurrection have benefitted from a torrent of positive mail, thanks in part to one North Carolina militia group.
Well, yeah, sure, maybe he was a hitman who coldbloodedly executed people, but he was a loving father and a good husband and went to church every Sunday.
I’m thinking of getting a bunch of postcards printed up, a form letter of sorts, so we can all join in on the letter writing campaign. maybe something like:
Rot in hell you fscking treasonous little asshole!
Funny about that. I grew up in New Jersey, and there was, seriously, a guy who lived near me who was high ranking member of a certain organized crime “family.” One day, after the guy was arrested, a neighbor was remarking on it, and expressed some dismay about the whole affair noting that “he kept his lawn so nicely manicured.”
No one who hasn’t grown up as a delicate, entitled, self-absorbed, mildly narcissistic straight white guy can even begin to understand the travails we suffer…
I hope that the little girl whose face may or may not have lit up on Christmas appreciates the fact that, from what I can tell, she was mentioned after the inability to check traps.
I’m not trying to minimize the impact of incarceration on the children of those incarcerated. My guess is, however, that those who are publicizing the plight of these terrorists are unlikely to be concerned about the impact on the children of people who are incarcerated for other crimes.
