It has gone beyond party affiliation. Anyone who says anything negative about Trump are biased. Anthony Scaramucci, George Connelly and Mitt Romney are dismissed as biased.

The fact that he was asking for that “favor, though” just make it worse. Not necessary to prove it was extortion. It’s a crime even without the threat.
