Because Greek women ululated, many years ago I fastened onto this scene from “Lawrence of Arabia.” Viewing it just now, I was struck by how their ululations inspired the men to greater camaraderie with one another in the form of song. (Lots of places to go with that observation.) The sound reproduction here isn’t very good. In the movie versions I’ve watched through over the years, the depth of their ululation is registered better.
