For the Trump Administration, The Enemy is Everywhere

Hello it’s the weekend. This is The Weekender :hot_beverage: The Crisis Factory The White House on Thursday held a roundtable that brought together the national leadership of federal law enforcement agencies with a group of right-wing Youtube streamers and social media influencers. The topic was Antifa, and the mood was a mix of aggression and…

Is there a legal definition of “woman”? No? Maybe it’s time to open the discussion. As a corollary, maybe “man” should be defined as well. Clearly, there have been times in our history when a smart female-type human could have done well had she been categorized and accepted as a “man”, as opposed to a person only fit to do secretarial work or be a housewife.

Yes…. A lot of sleepy heads. And Nosey the Curious Cat wonders why anyone would be awake this early….

The Filibuster is important to keep so spineless Republicans can let democrats stop things that they are too afraid to stand up to Trump about.

They also know there is a potential for democrats to pull off the inside straight and take the Senate, or maybe in '28 with the Presidency. Thune is banking on a new preening set like Manchin and Sinema emerging to hold back progress fixing what Trump broke… (my guess, Chris Pappas and Elissa Slotkin)

““Suspending who?” he replied, before handing it off to DHS Secretary Kristi Noem. She said she hadn’t been a part of any conversations about it.”

Which of course means, she’s deeply into the planning of this…

There is no doubt in my mind that TRUMP and his fascist allies in DC will provoke the No Kings Day protesters in DC to throw sandwiches at the local agents so that they can have an excuse to call out the military. This is where we are heading, and NO ONE, who can affect any change is doing anything about it.

I suspect the events all over the country will be peaceful, except for some antagonism coming from the Right.

More inflatables than violence.

We’re going to do this right, despite them.

The last No Kings event in DC was cancelled on the day of because of the murders of the Hortmans the previous night. I would expect the DC organizers have their hands on the plug for the upcoming event. And, in fact, it was the across-the-country-outpouring of support in mid-size cities and small towns that was most impressive. Getting people to show in DC isn’t hard and isn’t hard to discount.

[DC folk need a place to be seen and heard, so it would be hard for them to have it called again.]

Another call for the Proud Boys to turn up and beat the hell out of…soy drinkers.

This is the stupidest timeline of them all.

These fence-sitters get a golden welcome from the GOP. Money is at the root of all this fraud.

These fence sitters are courted by the DSCC. Note current DSCC chair is Gillibrand, who was hand picked by Patterson in 2008 to be a moderate fence sitter herself

Platner is going to be hit harder on Gillibrand’s orders than from team Collins.

“I’m attacked every time I do my job. When I leave my house to go to work, I’m violently assaulted,” said Cam Higby, a Turning Point USA staffer. “I’ve had guns pulled on me. I’ve been bear-sprayed. I’ve been beaten down. I’ve been almost killed.”

These are all claims of incidents a victim would want the police made aware of, investigated, and charges brought. Certainly arrests and indictments would validate Higby’s allegations. Seems an intrepid reporter would make some calls, visit some police precincts, submit a few FOIAs and determine the veracity of it all.

TFG’s physical. There are various reports out there, including what was discussed in a White House press briefing. What is being left off of most of them is the fact that he had “advanced imaging” done. It doesn’t specify CT or MRI, and not what it was for, but I’m sorry, advanced imaging is not part of a routine physical, for any age.

Dr Sean Barbabella, Trump’s physician, sent a report to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt saying that the president “successfully completed” his appointment, and confirmed the visit was part of "his ongoing health maintenance plan.

The doctor said the visit entailed “advanced imaging, laboratory testing, and preventative health assessments” conducted by various specialists.

And the other lies just kept on rolling - “cardiac heart age 14 years younger than his actual age”.

Oh, and he got the flu shot and COVID booster. Let’s see how well that goes over with the MAGAt crowd.

A bit of Googling reveals that in the medical community determining your heart’s biological age as contrasted your actual age is a real thing.

Oh, it’s a real thing. But I find it difficult to believe that his cardiac heart age is 14 years younger than his chronological age. Especially when they refer to his “healthy lifestyle”, including exercise.

ah …. whatever.
