Anonymous federal forces are occupying Oregon’s largest city against the wishes of local officials. They’ve snatched people off the street and shoved them into unmarked cars, beaten peaceful demonstrators and filled Portland with the haze of tear gas.
“I don’t need invitations by the state, state mayors or state governors, to do our job,” he said Monday morning. “We’re going to do that whether they like us there or not.”

As I’ve said many times, All Trump knows is how to play offense. You see this reflected in the law teams he selects to “defend” him and the way he attacks everything that doesn’t go his way. It’s like he sets into play a positive feedback loop of tit for tat escalation. Unless the courts can stop him, citizens will eventually be shot on the streets. He’s always been a threat to national security but now that threat has become grave — pun intended.
Not go very well this will.
That’s the plan. He’s going to Chicago because there were too many white people, like Naked Athena and the pregnant moms, that were making a mockery out of him in Portland.
He’ll probably push to the South Side, see if he can’t get good footage of minorities getting down with the cops that Fox will hype as darkie-coming-to-steal-your-home.
Partying like it’s 1968, forgetting that the enforcement arms of the fed are fairly universally despised.
Believe that’s the plan, by the weekend latest.

I live in Portland and I want these fuckbags GONE. They are not “keeping the community safe,” they are inciting violence – in a tiny area near the federal district courthouse downtown, maybe three blocks x three blocks. The other 99.89% of the city is perfectly peaceful. I actually drove within one block of the district courthouse about 12:45 am this morning, and there seemed to be about 200/300 demonstrators in front of the courthouse – no police/federal police violence that I could see at the time, but reports today that the feds used tear gas again last night on people. The overwhelming majority of demonstrators are acting peacefully, and the ones that aren’t are engaged in minor vandalism, not violence. I go into the courthouse about four time a year for work, and, yes, it’s a little disturbing to see all the graffiti, but it’s just paint - even Chad Wolf’s photos of the alleged “anarchist violence” are just some paint on a wall. This will end badly for Trump with a federal judge issuing an injunction and the adminstration standing down with its tail between its legs.
When a despotic “ruler” divides a population into his minions and those who are not, he will bestow incentives for his people. A race-bait here, a hate-rally there…and always, a ready-made tweet (or is it Twit?)
But those who are not minions have more incentive…like in this case:

Sort of OT: I thought of an analogy that I haven’t seen for the GOP. The Republicans have spent the last 50 years incubating a xenomorph and it finally emerged in 2016. The GOP is dead. It’s not coming back. The xenomorph is all that’s left.
