FEMA administrator Pete Gaynor couldn’t give a clear-cut answer when asked about key supply shortages as the COVID-19 outbreak continues to overwhelm hospitals, during his Sunday morning TV appearances.
“It is a dynamic and fluid operation,” Gaynor said. “The President appointed FEMA five days ago to manage federal operations and since I’ve been here, we’ve been shipping continuously from federal warehouses, and again, connecting, you know, those governors that need supplies to those who have it in the commercial sector.”
Indeed…it is a dynamic and fluid operation…because it is half-hazard response that has been lied about, ignored, denied, delayed for more than 2 months!
Meanwhile, while medical responders are running out of PPE like N95 masks, ICE Deportation Team is asking for 45,000 N95 masks!

One of the keys to bringing this under control is having enough kits to test people without symptoms who have been exposed in case they are spreading the virus and don’t know it. He must be another Trump appointee, the incompetence just burns. You are telling us you don’t have an inventory system set up to keep track of what is happening. Why don’t you know what you have left, how much is going out and where it is going and how much will be coming to replenish the stocks? How much are you likely to need as this thing ramps up? It is simple bookkeeping, dumb ass!!!
The goal should be to test everyone. Many who are infected don’t know it. Those are the people we need to ID and isolate. Meanwhile everyone needs to assume they are a carrier if they feel okay. See Iceland as an example.
