Very interesting thread on BlueSky about this particular officer and this case. One version is he was in the bathroom with his gun laying on the sink when a woman informed him he was in the wrong restroom. He then drunkenly asked her for a date. No allegations of attempted rape, but he became belligerent with arresting officers. He lied about who he worked for repeatedly because he did not want his border patrol supervisor to find out. Eventually he told the truth, was arraigned and released. He went home and died from an overdose a few days later.
