Originally published at: Federal Judge Says ‘Nazis Got Better Treatment’ Than Venezuelan Migrants Trump Expelled
A federal appellate judge expressed shock Monday at the treatment of Venezuelan migrants removed to an El Salvador prison without due process under President Trump’s radical resurrection of a war powers statute last used during World War II. “Nazis got better treatment under the Alien Enemies Act than has happened here,” Judge Patricia Millett of…
Judge Boasberg, you don’t understand, these people are Nazis.
Wondering if these same snatch & grab techniques would be considered okay if I decided to make a “citizen’s arrest” on individuals I considered a threat to national security, and shipped them off to another country’s prison?
ADA Ensign seemed aghast at that remark.
Shocked to be called out for that.

Hard to believe this Walker dude is actually buying the DOJ’s laughably absurd arguments. But here we are. Maybe it’s Chuck Norris in a robe?
There’s so much malignance but also so much idiocy and ignorance about everything these people do that besides many people being hurt and destroyed by both stuff our “leaders” do plus random shit that will inevitably come along with their dangerous and asinine behavior, I can’t see how it won’t get the United States into some terrible situations and trouble as time goes on…It’s only been two months and we’ve already lost the whole world’s respect and we keep getting signs of new dangerous “ideas” these fools on top are flirting with…And those are just the ones we’re finding out about. .
What are the historical parallels, if any, of this collection of miscellaneous dangerous behavior our “leadership” is dabbling in? I can’t think of anything where evil and randomness and ignorance and just pure carelessness have collided to this degree…
“They are challenging implementation of a proclamation in a way that never gave anyone a chance to say ‘I’m not covered’ — if your argument is: ‘He didn’t have to do that, it’s an intrusion on the President’s war powers, the court is paralyzed to do anything,’ then that’s a misreading of precedent, a misreading of the text of the Alien Enemies Act,” Millett said. “That can’t be an unlawful intrusion on the President’s powers, it just can’t. The President has to comply with the Constitution and laws like everybody else.”
She’s so funny, thinking King TSF the First is constrained by mere laws.
The TRO gets struck down, 2:1.
Can the ACLU appeal?
It’s endearing that Millet thinks that’s an insult to this regime.
Cruelty is the point
Judge Patricia Millett’s gone all Godwin prematurely. There’s still four more years to go.
Stupidity is the point:
I stand corrected
Boy am I glad I gave up my clearance in 2012
Maybe I should have said “… is also the point.”
Neither you nor I would have ever gotten involved in that sort of stupidity.
(Of course, if we had, we would have gone to prison for a LONG time.)
Dimwits strutting around in jackboots, exasperated that they can’t monetize their power fast enough.
“The president has to comply with the laws and the Constitution just like everyone else.”
But who’s gonna make him? If (and this appears to be the case) all the “enforcement” power lies with the Executive/executive branch, and it’s the Executive who refuses to comply, who is left to make him? Or incarcerate him? Or penalize him in any way?
Yes, I know. Everybody has been asking these questions. No satisfactory answers, though. “Civil contempt”? Another unenforceable ruling. The election in … NEARLY FOUR MORE YEARS?? The US will have been burned to the ground by then, and fighting WW III.
“That can’t be an unlawful intrusion on the President’s powers, it just can’t. The President has to comply with the Constitution and laws like everybody else.”
Social Security rushing service cuts at White House request, sources say
The reason they want to turn of the phones is so when they arbitrarily cut someone’s benefits they will have no where to turn. This is not going to go over well with the majority of people who receive benefits.
