Just jaw dropping:

Driving the news: Acting commissioner Leland Dudek said the changes in question would usually take two years to implement, but will be made in two weeks instead, the two sources said on condition of anonymity due to fears of retaliation.

Dudek also said the changes, happening so fast and with little public understanding, will create opportunities for scammers, one of the sources said.

There will be individuals who will be victims of fraud as a result of the changes, Dudek said, according to one attendee. He said in the past Social Security had been too “thoughtful” in considering beneficiaries before making changes.

Everybody needs to read Jeffrey Goldberg’s article in the Atlantic for a chilling example of incompetence, carelessness, ignorance and all of those things happened right out in the open. These people are fucking MORONS. But we knew that already, and they are dangerous to the entire world.

courts blessing this expulsion of migrants to infamously deadly prisons without notice or even bothering to prove their danger would be a significant appropriation of power.

Republicans want to build a government big enough to crush any thing, any person, business, book, word, brand, liturgy, anything the Party’s will be done.

That should be up to the beneficiaries. How SS interacts and does business should be up to beneficiaries, not some fascist bean counter.

The Republican Congress has to “make him”….and WE have to make them make him.

Millett going in hot because she’s behind the Henderson ball.

That panel sucks 1-2. Henderson was the useless piece of crap who delayed the D.C. Cir. immunity ruling by the better part of two months.

If you think of the bureaucracy as the “moving parts” of government policy these dipshits are cutting off their limbs and depending on ever lower level employees to achieve their decrees.

The wheels slowly stop.

dumpster: " why hasn’t anyone taken out the garbage?!"

Rubio; “you fired them, … oh I’ll take out the garbage!”

Clock is ticking.

Trump season 1 appointee. MAGA through and through. Supposedly “hand picked” by Mitch McConnell. There’s a whole mob of them scattered throughout the federal judiciary now, the bitter fruits of people who couldn’t vote for Hillary because (fill in cockamamie retro-self-justification here). And season 2 is just getting started.

“That can’t be an unlawful intrusion on the President’s powers, it just can’t. The President has to comply with the Constitution and laws like everybody else.”

According to the corrupt SCOTUS he does not.

Cruelty is the objective. Stupidity is the implementation strategy.

So, en banc rehearing coming up? Or promptly punted a couple of blocks over to the Supremes?

The Germans removed during World War II, she noted, were given a chance to appear before an Alien Enemy hearing board.

PFFT… They don’t need no stinking Alien Enemy board… TRUMP’s word is good enough.

You don’t seem to understand the difference. He is subject to the laws just like everybody else. He is just immune if he does break them as an official act, and catch-22-like, all of his acts are now official.

That question is older than the Roman Republic:
Juvenal (Satires) asked, “Qui custodiet ipsos custodes?” (“Who will guard the guardians”, or “Who will watch the watchmen?”)
