FBI Interviewed Top Trump WH Counsel About Missing Classified Docs

My hunch is they saw stuff being moved.

The FBI is dusting the most recent batch of documents for fingerprints to see who came in contact with them. This story somehow seems related. I have no proof–I just like patterns.

Nah. For all we know they may have polonium at MaL.

Actually the DOJ can be seen to have behaved with logic, after Biden’s Inauguration.

Serious logic

That may well be the case, but the stuff being moved had to have been obvious and identifiable as something they shouldn’t have been seeing. Curiouser and curiouser…

Sorry. I’ve been reading too many British “Inspector Pinchbottom” mysteries where a cuppa and bickies is almost always consumed when the witnesses are visited.

Since he set out to ruin Bratt’s predecessor, Strozk, it might’ve been fair to expect that Donnie had some idea of the significance of his office.
Apparently, not.

With lots of visits to taverns and heavy discussion over tankards of ale at lunchtime, if Endeavour is any example

Emptywheel says Philbin himself has legal exposure if he did not fully disclose information about Trump hoarding classified documents.

The feds had already seen the storage area where the docs were being held hostage. Anything being taken out of it on surveillance video would have been a huge red flag.

I’m thinking tfg had items he considered his moved out, the search was performed, the attorney signed off on no documents remaining in the room at that moment in time, the feds left and tfg had “his” stuff moved back in. The moving back in was captured on surveillance cameras.

I enjoy a good British murder mysteries myself, Ralph, but they tend to be rather quaint affairs with the vicar, when he’s not vicaring, often solving the case. But this is bombastic, bellowing Donnie we’re dealing with. I’m fairly certain those peaceful villagers would be more offended by Donnie than any murderer lurking in their midst. I mean, he almost makes me want to put polonium in my own cuppa.

I wouldn’t have put the Gaetzman at the top of the stoolie probabilities table, but then again, there’s no honor among these people and, of course, it also suggests that Trump did something worthy enough to be informed upon. Is this guy worse than Gaetz? Incredible.

I for one welcome our new socialist senior overlords.

In the ones I read the Vicar is more often than not the victim or the perp. Don’t ever turn your back on the Vic.

You’ve gotta admit, that’s pretty shrewd. Unethical as all hell, but clever. How does Gaetz prove he’s not the informant? His opponent may be even more of a cad than Gaetz, but can’t say I feel sorry for him.

For the sake of argument…why would deliberation in the pursuit of Trump’s culpability be scorned upon?

Could we have conducted seminars on the S.O.P. of complex criminal investigations, such as the ones being conducted by DOJ?

I say this because our collective mood on this could have been much better** had we operated under different assumptions

**and more in line with not awarding TrumpWorld with undue advantage.

@emptywheel put up this link for an authority’s views on some of the issues, and many red herrings, around the FBI’s executing a warrant on Mar - i - ago: (https://www.justsecurity.org/82706/myths-misunderstandings-relating-to-mar-a-lago-documents-investigation/ .)
A lot of it is likely pretty clear by now, but, in the event it may be helpful…

We’ll probably never know the true information value of the docs he moved.
