Fani Willis Endures Disrespect, Racist Tropes And Public Ridicule

Willis came in red hot, literally running from her office to the courtroom when it was her time to testify. She took over the room. She raised and waived objections from the witness chair. She refused to be led down primrose paths by defense counsel. She talked over everyone: defense counsel, the judge, and her own team

Total bad ass. Respect

To the contrary, Mike Roman produced substantial evidence that Fani Willis was receiving substantial benefits in the form of luxury vacations from the contractor she hired and paid to prosecute Mike Roman. That may or may not be sufficient to earn her disqualification, but it is solid evidence of wrongdoing.

On a good day … yeah
… one hot summer day in full sweat after a long round of golf he smell like TEN fields … like bodily waste was being expelled from every pore.
… and … once he caused the rest of his foursome & their caddies to start wretching - uncontrollably…

Who Is Konstantin Nikolaev? Putin Ally Behind Mike Johnson Campaign Donation (msn.com)

News of money previously given to House Speaker Mike Johnson’s congressional campaign by Russian nationals has re-emerged after the Republican rejected a $95 billion foreign aid bill passed in the Senate.

In 2018, a group of Russians were able to donate to Johnson’s bid for the Louisiana seat he eventually won as the money was funneled through the Texas-based American Ethane company.

While American Ethane was co-founded by American John Houghtaling, at the time it was 88 percent owned by three Russian nationals—Konstantin Nikolaev, Mikhail Yuriev, and Andrey Kunatbaev. Nikolaev is known to be a top ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

A spokesperson for Johnson previously assured in 2018 that the campaign returned the money that was given to them by American Ethane once it was "made aware of the situation.

Who Is Konstantin Nikolaev?

The 52-year-old is a billionaire who previously served as minister of transport for the Russian Federation.

Nikolaev and his two partners currently own a third of Globaltrans, Russia’s biggest private rail transport operator, and he previously worked in railroad freight and port businesses.

He is also a part owner of Tula Cartridge Works, which has been supplying ammunition for Russian forces during its invasion of Ukraine.

In 2019, Forbes listed the oligarch’s net worth at $1.2 billion.

Nikolaev is also known for being a financial backer of Maria Butina, a Russian citizen who was sentenced to 18 months in prison in 2019 after admitting to acting as an unregistered foreign agent to infiltrate conservative political groups and influence foreign policy to Russia’s benefit before and after the 2016 election.

Trump would pull the exact same shit if he gets back in office.

I think President Biden has things going in the right direction again. Dominoes are falling all over the GOP. They’re failing at every turn. I sense the Jomentum coming back again.

Joe will win in a walk in November. Trial dates are set, evidence is clear, all indicators are once again pointed in the right direction.

BELIEVE IT!

Could’ve stopped there, but I know it’s not news.

Can we get a constitutional amendment to prevent any more Johnsons from holding congressional office? It can be interpreted as broadly as you like. There have probably been one or two good Johnsons, so maybe it’s a wash.

The defense lawyers have met their burden of proof through actual documentation to show that Wade paid for all the travel. Willis does not bear any burden of proof, but as a practical matter, “Oh I paid him back through untraceable cash that I keep around the house, how dare you question me on that” is laughably thin rebuttal.

Don’t badmouth Siberia, that is where the humanity is going to live once Southern Europe and the Middle East become inhabitable due to climate change. Ex-Floridians will have their beachside properties in Baffin Island. Trump grandchildren will be fabulously rich, because of the vision of their grandfather to buy Greenland.

It would be the Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox religion that could canonize Navalny but that’s unlikely. He’s a Putin stooge.

Not an excuse for what happened but imagine if the relationship truly began after Willis had brought Wade on. This guy sounds like he has spent his best years perfecting the art of bullshitting women and has been quite successful at it. Willis tells us that he couldn’t handle the idea that she and Wade were not equals in the chain of command. That tells us a lot about Wade’s attitude and approach to women, especially black professional women in a Southern community.

Hmmm. I worked at a private university where the upper management routinely put in their orders for personal items, thus receiving goods at cut rate prices. A benefit enjoyed by upper management only. Things walked out the door regularly.

Romantic affairs spilled over to the work place with zero consequence. If anyone let their discomfort known, they were gone,

No end to the number of stories of females being hit upon. Ronan Ferrow reported endlessly on it. Criminal acts occurred. In my experience, the perpetrators were all white men with a spattering of consensual white females.

I think we can all stop pretending all is well and appropriate in the corporate structure.

Fani is a woman hyperalert to the power dynamics between men and women. Of course she paid her fair share.

I doubt a majority of black people, if polled, no matter how legitimate or trustworthy the pollster seemed, would reply “Yeah, I keep loads of cash in my house.” For that matter I don’t see many people copping to it with a complete stranger.

I spent over a decade practicing criminal law in two states before I stopped doing it because of the corruption and racism and baked-in unfairness. DA’s routinely, in small and sometimes, not so small ways, violated their obligations. Sometimes openly. And the system - from the judges down - always, always circled the wagons and protected them.
I have little sympathy for Willis, as she was dumb to do whatever it was she did. And her conduct is certainly consistent with the arrogance I typically saw in prosecutors, who were overwhelmingly white men and women.
However, this article is much appreciated and needed as it highlights the central problem: this type of thing does not happen to white people who perform the job and everyone knows it. But only the racists - who applaud this kind of action - and people of color, like me, are willing to acknowledge that truth.

FOX must have a roomful of people and a broken AI working around the clock to come up with new ways of coding racist language. Pedigree may be one of the most sickening I have heard recently.

I don’t watch FOX because I can’t afford a new TV every month.
