Over the past 24 hours, President Donald Trump has been gleefully piling on the aftermath of the Justice Department’s astonishing reversal of federal prosecutors’ recommended prison sentence of Roger Stone.

What will be the meaningful consequences of this? We know there will be none. But at least future historians will have unambiguous statements like this as evidence when they write about the Dark Period of the history of the United States.
And, we can see how it happened. We’re in the middle of it and have gotten accustomed to all the criminal acts as they’ve escalated over the last 3 years. We’re now on the fast tract to fascism.
