Trump has shown his ability to make everything worse time after time. I haven’t the slightest doubt that will be the case again with vaccines. I expect to be low priority on the list to receive those shots, which I suspect will be a good thing.

If offered the Moderna vaccine, I expect I’ll decline. Not sure why, but really don’t trust a company that’s been having all of its officers profiting off of their connections to trump.

It’s gone now, but day before yesterday on Twitter an epidemiologist at Harvard made the argument that, since we now have a vaccine safe enough to administer to 30,000 people, it’s safe enough to make available to everyone. Which, um, no–the tests subjects will be helping to determine how safe it is; we can’t just assume that it’s safe, period. I want a vaccine, too, and as quickly as possible . . . but I want a safe one.
His fundamentally-faulty reasoning could be why he took his tweet down.

The people who receive the Trump-Vaccine will act like the same small children who would take a vaccine from Trump in the first place.

There are many vaccine candidates at the moment, so something reasonably efficacious should come along eventually. Reasonably efficacious may not be much, however. Where we can expect advances is on the therapeutic side, and thereby a mitigation of covid’s damage. As Bill Maher cranked on about last week, we should also see efforts to optimize health. The industrial diet will probably start to see some modification, first in institutional settings and then generally. Many restaurants, for example, can distinguish keto and “dirty keto” diets on the menu.

He’s going to say a vaccine is ready whether there is one or not, just like he says he’s going to have a healthcare plan. As with Zelensky investigating Biden, as with everything with Trump, it’s the announcement, not the thing itself. The only reason he’s not already announcing a vaccine to boost his numbers is that he thinks he strategically needs to save the announcement for closer to the election. But it’s all talk. He’s a freak.

Just like the census, the Trump regime is politicizing the vaccine. Of course they will lie and say it’s safe before the election in an cynical attempt to retain power.
The question is who is gullible and dumb enough to believe Trump? He’s a proven repeat liar, so my guess is only his deplorable base will buy his claims about the vaccine.
