What is it that you’re disagreeing with, that he will look like a fool until he caves, that the nation will remember? I think this is his cross to bear thru November. The fact that he and his administration refused test kits from the WHO a couple months ago will further damn him if the Dems get the word out and stay on it.

If trump issues an emergency declaration he would be admitting he’s understated the extent of the virus. He can’t do that- it would make him look bad. Same as limiting the tests performed thereby underreports on the reach of the virus.

A barista at a downtown Seattle Starbucks has tested positive for COVID-19. A vendor at CenturyLink Field tested positive after working an XFL game with attendance of 22,000. A state employee who works in the building across the street from me has tested positive. And these are just cases we know about despite the limited testing that’s going on.
It’s here, and it’s spreading.

Yeah, that’s pretty substantial. I can’t imagine it’s being any different in Chicago, due to the points of entry for international travel. I’m just not hearing about it.

I thought about it, but you know how it is with car deals, at least the old school negotiating kind with a trade-in. It’s already an adversarial situation where both parties smile and try to beat the other guy on price, I didn’t want to bring anything else into the equation. After we take delivery I’ll call the supervisor and mention they might want to talk to the guy.
Probably won’t do any good, since habits like that aren’t easy to break. My Dad was like that – he couldn’t count folding money out of his wallet without licking his fingers first.

@sniffit 's a regular Sherlock Holmes! I think he’s on to something here. trump has been in contact with a lot of CPAC attendees who had contact with the person who tested positive. If he goes on “vacation” he can disguise the quarantine. We’ll have to see how much contact he has with others on vacation. If he’s the lone golfer on the course we’ll know.
