Trump didn’t start the right wing project to delegitimize the press and to ignore facts. He’s just the most obvious purveyor of it. It’s a good part of the reason his polling doesn’t change. His deplorable base won’t recognize facts. All they listen to is Trump’s lies and the nonstop disinformation and outright lies of regime sycophants on Fox “News”. The debates are a rare opportunity to see the candidates upfront with no filter.
We’ve seen on “debate” — if that is what can call the hot mess last night. It seems obvious Trump was trying to shout out facts and bully Biden. Does this work? It may excite some of Trump’s deplorable cult, but did it move any voters in his direction?
