Yep, cleaning up the stable after the horse show is a thankless task.
OMG
good yucks
and instead told them to “stand back and stand by” — Christie replied that he “heard it differently” and insisted that he “didn’t read it that way, but if you want to read it that way that’s your prerogative.”
This is the reason Trump did so bad, one of the preppers is senil and the other wasn’t even paying attention.
It must be nice to “hear things differently” because the way I hear things has been ruining my sleep for the last four years!
You know how the saying goes, if you’re explaining why you’re not actually supporting and inciting right-wing terrorist groups, you’re losing.
Never has a president needed more propping up. 60 million people, including everyone who works for Chump…constantly standing him up, rehashing what he said, cleaning up remarks, changing his diaper, wiping off his chin, trying to prep to make sure there are no stairs, ramps, or glasses of water, etc. That’s leadership.
He heard it differently because the rehearsed line was “stand down and stand by”.
I think your auto-correct mangled “asshat”.
If there was a best part of this trump shit show, this was it
I read that 8 out of 10 Republicans were disappointed by Trump’s debate performance.
Of course, Christie was 7 of them.
Only because they thought that he should have ordered the Secret Service to detain Biden live on TV during the debate for treason.
How about Chump spitting and sputtering, uninterrupted, for 5 minutes about how every single nook and cranny of our elections are crooked, fake, rigged, etc. Then Biden looks into the camera…VOTE. YOU GO VOTE.
And the way he attacked Biden’s sons and the way Biden handled it. There was a lot of cross-talk and although it was horrific, I wish it had stood out more starkly…the President of the United States (with a family of grifters bleeding us dry as we speak) hurling abuse about someone else’s children. I hope that wasn’t lost on everyone watching.
The one thing Chump seems to absorb, remember, and be able to recite is the Putin/Pecker dirt attacks. He is marvelously prepared with vile, vile things to say about people who outclass him by miles… and he delivers it impeccably. Not that it will do him any good this time around.
“The next opportunity the president has to clarify that answer, because folks like you and others are confused by it, then he should do that.”
For fucks sake, no one is confused by his answer. NO ONE!
Smart? Not so much…
And he ate the other one…
Seven ate nine?
Biden raised concerns “because there were numerous times in that debate where he drifted off mid-sentence, where he got numbers wrong, where he didn’t seem to make or complete a point.”
Maybe because Trump kept interrupting

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie
As a New Jersey voter, I love seeing the word “former” in front of “New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.”
If I were Biden, I would have interrupted about 50 times with short jabs.
“That happened on your watch”
“You are the President, and everyone in this country and around the world wishes you could remember that for 5 minutes”
“I wasn’t leading the pandemic response, you were supposed to be”
“Folks this guy hasn’t done anything for anyone but himself. Since his crimes became obvious, he has used your office, your money, and wasted every opportunity to serve this country on his own problems, scandals, and thievery”
“Where would he be without Bill Barr, and his co-opting all of the legal, judicial, and Law Enforcement agencies to cover for him?”
Etc.
And in violation of the agreed rules, and the moderator failed continuously to do his job to stop that happening.
Really hard to play a football game when your team is at the line of scrimmage and the other team just runs off into the stands with the ball and takes it into the endzone from behind and declares that it’s a touchdown, then runs over and begins beating up the referees if they disagree with the self-called score.
They really need some very stringent rules, along with enforcement mechanisms, for the second debate.
