Former Vice President Joe Biden was quickly declared the winner of the two most delegate-rich states voting on Super Tuesday, Virginia and North Carolina. Both victories showed the strength of his candidacy in the South and the strength he’d gained from a great week.
When Biden tries to make a grand bargain and cut Social Security, well, you asked for it. The President from MBNA won’t make mean tweets, but will be just as likely to drone strike a wedding party.
So the Bernie supporters have to be asking, do I vote for Joe Biden, or do I condemn my progeny to the terror the GOP will unleash if I sit out the election, in effect, electing Trump?
And I’m probably more ideologically aligned with Sanders to be honest, but the reality is his ability to cobble together a winning coalition is narrow.
Well, it looks like it’s Biden’s night by a landslide. I’ve got to admit, Maine is a real shocker. Bernie’s campaign is in free fall right now. I did not see that coming, but I only hope everything is resolved by the end of the month.
Neither Bernie nor Biden were among my first picks, but I’ll support a potted plant over Trump, so let’s get on with it.
