All this will also go down on a permanent record. Every call, every text, everything is recorded, and that doesn’t bode well for wannabe insurrectionists.
Yes, because they are fed constant “mainstream” - that is, on their television, on their computer screen - stories about other like-minded people who are also fed up. It’s a manufactured consent to violence.
You think it why? Again, I’m serious. We’re now a number of months away from the election and the inauguration. If these people were all on a hair trigger I’d have expected a burst of attacks after either or both of those events, and there was nothing. We’ve been hearing about these militias for decades and while I agree there’s always a potential for an incident, I don’t see what new factors are operating that would make it worse. January 6 was by far the worst incident we’ve ever had, and we don’t even know exactly how it was organized, to what extent the involvement was planned and what extent stochastic, really for as much as we can guess or surmise or “just know” we don’t really know much at all for sure. So I’m asking for factual reasons you think things are likely to get worse. I know I’m being a pest. I can’t help it. It’s my nature.
Reasons to be concerned? Like Susan Collins? These “patriots”, as they see the country increasingly moving away from their vision of white supremacy, will be increasingly motivated to do something about it. And, their version of doing something about it is blowing shit up. My crystal ball is not perfect, but I’m way more than “concerned” about the likelihood of more of these plans coming to fruition.
I’m just glad they caught these bozos. What happens if one or more of these groups is successful?
Ah, see, that was the decoy conspiracy. Clever of them to pick a target on the other side of the country.
That belief goes back literally centuries. Why. Is. It. Worse. Now?
No worries there! We’re all ‘pests’ in some way or another. Yeah, I don’t know shit, I just have a bad feeling about so many people believing that the election was stolen from a fat, stupid man who thinks he’s God’s gift to the world.
It’s reflexive to say “things have never been this bad before”, and maybe I’m guilty of thinking that without specifying it literally.
But this old white man descent into actively working against America’s interests truly worries me.
I probably disagree with a great majority of her votes, but I give her credit on this. She has come out strong and kept it coming, and that may turn out to be pivotal as things go forward.
Now everything I say is less valid because I used the word “concerned”? Does that seem like a legitimate argument to you? And the passage of time alone aggravates the situation? That doesn’t strike me as totally compelling either.
What is the nature of terrorist wannabee’s business? 50 Trump bucks (good luck collecting) says it’s something with minimal exposure to consumers,
why bother with pipe bombs? those weren’t going to do much except blow one end off I suspect
better to go with tannerite, it’s readily available, very explosive, pre-packaged and legal, and possession of which is easily excused
not a bright bunch
Just some excitable boys.
I think if you’re looking for “factual reasons” about an opinion, about a prediction, you’re not going to find them. We disagree. It happens.
That is an issue with using and relying on technology without considering or understanding the true implications of doing so. If you hand deliver a missive on paper and the recipient reads and then burns it, it’s hard for anyone in the middle to intercept it and read its contents. But if you write a missive, hand it to a third-party carrier in an unsealed envelope (or the third-party has a letter opener) and rely on them to deliver the note, you have the potential of letting someone else in on the contents.
Now they are doing it on a grand scale without even the barest thought as to what the carrier is doing with the messages they are sending (recording them and storing them indefinitely so they can be subpoenaed later?). Is you planning a criminal conspiracy without reading the third-party’s EULA?
OT, but it’s always projection…
Mark Brnovich: The left is creating a false choice between voter participation and election integrity
I almost welcome the inevitable violence at this point.
I’m sure there would be some who would bothsiderism this event, but someone please tell me the last time anyone tried this on a GQP HQ.

Fair enough. But I wasn’t saying you were necessarily wrong.
Even better if there’s true video and audio from when she said it.
Yeah. Last year a friend was growing weed and started sending me pictures. I told her to knock that shit off because she was risking a lot by doing stupid shit like that. She blew up and called me every name you can imagine and then she ghosted me.
I’m better off.
