After Fox News host Tucker Carlson accused Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) of hating America, the senator reminded him on Monday night that between the two of them, only one lost both legs while serving in the U.S. military.
Tucker used to wear bow ties for America, so…call it even.

The press needs to keep reminding people that over 132,000 US citizens have died due to covid-19, a number that should be substantially smaller but to the lack of leadership and action by the president, vice-president, and the Republican Party. The press needs to publicize the fact that there are approximately 35,000+ deaths per year from guns in this country, and to keep the focus on the uneven administration of law to US citizens. Basic rights and services need to be for all US citizens. We are not there yet, and the Republican Party, and their mouthpiece FOX network, are a major part of the problem. Democrats do not hate the US, just what the past 60 years of Republican Party’s actions have done to it.

Senator Duckworth is a veteran who was wounded in the defense of our country. She lost her legs. Despite her injuries, she has a successful career in politics. All Americans should applaud her patriotism and diligence.
