In his fiery defense of President Donald Trump’s aggression against Iran, Rep. Doug Collins (R-GA) claimed Democrats’ skepticism of Trump’s saber rattling meant they were siding with terrorists on Wednesday night.
Every news outlet should be running tape of this comment alongside Trump’s on camera screeds against gold star families. Not that I am holding my breath.
More troubling is the UNDISPUTED fact every Democrat in Congress keeps a small child caged and enslaved in their basement, only letting them out to clean the toilets and walk the dog. EVERYONE KNOWS IT BUT REFUSES TO TALK ABOUT IT.
"Looking back on the conflict today—and, sadly, with an eye toward future conflicts—I do not think we should have been surprised that even as professional a military organization as ours would struggle so mightily with post-conflict stabilization absent a coherent local partner. The Iraqi army— which we unceremoniously disbanded in 2003—might have been that partner, but even then it still seems too much to have asked of young officers and noncommissioned officers operating thousands of miles from home in an alien culture. Meanwhile, the old Iraqi army—thousands of suddenly unemployed young men with guns—helped form the insurgency that followed. Former Secretary of Defense Bob Gates was almost certainly right that anyone who advised a future president to undertake a similar endeavor “should have his head examined.”

What if they were siding with terrorists on Tuesday night?
This is standard Republican Blood Libel. Accuse anyone who doesn’t agree with them of being traitors. Along with Cruz “honoring the troops” virtue signalling, this is the playbook.
Perhaps Democrats should point out Saudi and Gulf nation support of Somali terrorists that resulted in the death of an American Serviceman in Kenya just this week.
