I suppose we can’t really know unless we had access to all the people making the trades, but I remain cautiously conspiratorial about it…just looking at that kind of thing, or the apparent attempt to surge ahead of the speech yesterday (which failed at the last minute with a cliff dive) feels like the super-monied trying to prop shit up to help the fascist project. It is blatantly obvious to me that people are going to lose their shirts, so none of the activity like that makes much sense to me.

His billionaire buddies on Wall Street may give him props for his braggadocio from what I hear he gave in last night’s speech. They may even give him a one or two day reprieve, but it can’t hold back the deluge that’s about to hit supply chains, parts manufacturers, tool and die makers that will have to retool here at home, and all kinds of commodity prices under this new incredibly stupid economic regime.
The billionaire class that tend to own the companies tRump wants to favor won’t be able to control all the various markets that intersect each other as we go forward. They’ve got workers and customers that have all been thrown into an uncertain economy for no apparent reason other than the boss’s desire for personal tax breaks.
One thing Wall Street doesn’t like is uncertainty. That’s just common sense. This new model of using economic blackmail invented by King Donald, is a recipe for disaster.

Not quite. The steep decline is either trying to guess who the winners will be in the “Going out of business” sweepstakes, or panic selling because you can’t predict who the winners will be. They know what to do, sell the losers, they just can’t figure out who that will be. So you’re getting sell the losers, and sell everything. What to do: sell. Who to sell: IDK.

And as with other vitamins, you can take too much vitamin A. Vitamin toxicity became a problem in the 1970’s and '80’s in certain segments of the U.S. population. I worry that RFKJr’s emphasis on supplements could lead to a return of the problem.

This is not really a win, it’s just further delay. This is key:
Judge Ali will instead have to show “due regard for the feasibility of any compliance timelines” and further “clarify” what the Trump administration needs to do in order to restart funding.
The govt will be all “the DOGE ate my homework, we can’t resume funding ever” then it’ll get appealed again back up to SCOTUS who will shrug and go “welp, we’ve tried nothing and it didn’t work”.
In the meantime, the organizations and programs that depend on the cash will have collapsed.

It does say something about the need for restrictions for congressional electeds. Geriatrics (not this guy necessarily at 70 but others) will throw the Congress into issues as each of them kicks off and the older they are, the more likely they will kick off.
