I’m still thinking is was staged. And staged poorly, because that’s how Trumper does things.

Certainly a lot of circumstantial evidence points that way, and has from the day. That and standard Trumpworld production values.

But every time I think of the possibility… the cravenness of blithely glossing over that the poor rube who did the deed, and an innocent bystander are, you know, actually dead should attract more notice, one would think. Shudder to think.

he got 4 SC justices to state that federal courts shouldn’t be enforcing congressional spending AND to insult the federal judge who made that ruling.

Roberts and Barrett voted with the liberal justices. A taste of things to come? We can only hope. Alito wrote the dissent, which included this: "Does a single district-court judge who likely lacks jurisdiction have the unchecked power to compel the government of the United States to pay out (and probably lose forever) $2 billion taxpayer dollars? The answer to that question should be an emphatic ‘No,’ but a majority of this court apparently thinks otherwise. I am stunned.”

I guess only a district-court judge who has ruled on the side of Trump or his supporters has jurisdiction in any situation and can compel the government to do something it does not want it to do.

Commercial sites sure. I’m thinking rural stuff. If the price is right it would be a great way to get rural properties. An old Post Office, gut the interior turn it into an Air BnB. Market it as a way to observe real Americans in their native habitat.

The Pope’s in town, and Trump invites him to a game of golf. At the first hole, Trump swings and completely whiffs it.

“Jesus Christ!” he shouts. “I missed!”

“Mister President,” the Pope replies. “I understand you’re upset, but please, please, do not take the Lord’s name in vain.”

They continue playing and a few holes on, Trump misses another swing. “Jesus Christ! I missed!”

“Please,” the Pope begs again. “It’s very disrespectful to use the Lord’s name in anger. God can hear every word you say.”

At the next hole, Trump swings and misses again. “Jesus Christ! I missed!” Dark clouds form in what had been a clear sky, grumbling with the sound of approaching thunder.

Suddenly a bolt of lightning flashes down from the clouds, hits the Pope, and burns him to ash in a split second.

As Trump stares at the smoking pile, a loud voice speaks from the clouds.
