Dominion’s Epic Witness List For The Fox News Trial

Clarence Thomas Secretly Accepted Luxury Trips From Major GOP Donor

Have only read a summary, but this looks like a bombshell. Evidently, Thomas has been accepting freebie luxury travel to hang out with conservative big shot influencers/funders for years. Like a salon.

Because conservatives screamed bloody murder? Too bad. He has not only lived it down, he’s been proven right! Same with Hillary. If anything, they were too kind.

Same in healthcare, where it’s very clearly laid out (and, in my experience, enforced) that any gifts you accept from patients must be in the “cup of coffee” category.
Exceptions, like the families who gave gifts, including $50 bills, after their family member’s death or discharge, were permitted, with permission, for grunt-level staff, but not management.
I was a big fan of homemade Christmas cookies.

Pence: I shouldn’t have to testify about the J6 legislative proceeding, but everything else is fine.

Trump: Pence shouldn’t testify about anything.

Court: Pence wins, Trump loses.

DK: This is very confusing, why is Pence testifying without more of a fight?

I think SC Smith is looking at the “seditious conspiracy” angle of his J6 investigation. What a wide net he’s gotta throw over that.

I don’t know how I feel about that. I suspect that the eventual result would be that Thomas resigns/retires from the Court in exchange for an agreement to not file a criminal information letter with DOJ, or DOJ agrees to defer prosecution in exchange for a resignation after a criminal information letter was filed.

But that smacks heavily of DOJ/IRS meddling in the Courts. I don’t like that at all.

On the other hand, Thomas is Thomas and he’s a sanctimonious, corrupt justice who needs to be gone.

Will Fox plead stupid?
Clueless?
Averse to reality?
Perverse to reality?
Converse to reality?
Anti–American?

That’s too bad

I’m not sure about that, but it does sound like an interesting experiment!

SCIENCE!!!

Fox doesn’t get to plead anything.

The judge already said, “Fox is liable as charged.”

The question for the jury is, “How much will this cost Fox?” That comes down to two linked questions:

  • how egregiously bad was Fox’s behavior?
  • how much is Dominion’s business worth and how much damage did Fox’s behavior cost them?

NPR should pull it’s account. I know it sucks because people rely on Twitter feeds for info, but it’s time for orgs to stop saying “This is unacceptable!” and then continue to accept it.

Serious question. How have these goings-on remained totally off the radar for decades? How many other justices (thinking Scalia) have been schmoozed in like manner over the course of their lifetime appointments? And how do the remaining justices not know? Not suggesting they all partake, but surely they talk about what we did on our summer vacations.

It’s not the crime, it’s the cover-up.

And Smartmatic is next!

I hope Fox News does not survive.

I love this.

But speaking of Twitter, NPR needs to leave it behind. If Elon doesn’t want you there then delete your account. No reason to put your staff in danger for that POS.

The whistles were distributed by a Trump supporter who said he wanted people to make a lot of noise. When the interviewer (was it Josh?) asked, did he realize people were drowning out MTG, he didn’t seem to get the question or care about MTG.

I hope I live long enough not to have to hear every day so many people with the whiny version of southern accents or with Queens accents.

Political Wire links to an Axios article which calls Trump the shadow House Speaker. He’s definitely giving his minions their talking points. Every time Gym spews his crap, I see Trump. Same for MTG and that weak, pathetic McCarthy.

That’s happening in Kansas! :rage:

Count me in.
Who’s gonna play Mary Magdalene?
MTG?
But there’s no one to take the place of “the disciple Jesus loved” because TFG has never loved anyone.
Yes, we need to replicate the experiment under controlled conditions.

Finally, Trump can throw out the fake Time “Man of the Year” cover and replace it with The New Yorker.

Nope.
That’d be Invanka.
