DOJ Sues Texas, Alleging Redistricting Maps Discriminate Against Black And Latino Voters | Talking Points Memo

I’ve said from the beginning that I wanted to KNOW what was being done in regards to protecting the vote. I’ve said, as have many others on here, that Garland needed to let the public know what’s happening with the planners of J6. I’ve said from the beginning that time was of the essence.

The GQP is ALREADY planning the next J6 attack on Democracy. The 2024 elections WILL be violent if Trump runs and doesn’t win. I’d like to know what the DOJ plans are for dealing with that. Just because I’m not a Garland apologist doesn’t mean I don’t support his efforts. I am FREE to criticize A.G Garland and voice my opinions whether or not it meets your strict guidelines and approval. You are free to ignore my comments and opinions. Capiche?

Naw. His supporters will lose interest by the end of the next year or so. And there are still almost 3 years before the next presidential election.

Since you’re so delicate I’ll be sure and tred lightly henceforth.

From September…perhaps reading is your fundamental barrier.

You are free…to continue being a loud dumbass.

50-50 Senate

There’s already a bill that eliminates gerrymandering, but it’s not going to pass the Senate.

Now there’s a chance to fix that in either '22 or '23, but next year is likely when a pivotal number again sit out the midterms.

Why?

They’re mad at the wrong people.

You’re right. Why Garland wasn’t locking people up on January 21st is beyond contempt. Biden had already announced that he was being nominated, shouldn’t have waited to be confirmed or take office or anything. Billy Bob Barr certainly wouldn’t have. No need to wait to take office or let investigations play out at all. It’s ridiculous.

Trump’s Next Coup Has Already Begun
January 6 was practice. Donald Trump’s GOP is much better positioned to subvert the next election. ~ The Atlantic.

I just posted it.

I hope you mean a pivotal number of Trumper voters because they are mad at the wrong people and have had their vote thoroughly depressed by their idol who has done everything he can to convince them that voting is for suckers.

@Pluckingenius - Next week the Atlantic will take the opposite tack on that - that’s what they do. I have a subscription. They are extremely fallible. And I assume that’s why they invariably explore both sides.

Sorry Pluckin, but all your freakouts have to go through castor. Those are the rules.

DOJ standards are not to pontificate about ongoing investigations until or unless charges are brought.

These standards exist so that we don’t get an announcement from DOJ that @Pluckingenius is a child molester and have their reputation ruined, only to never actually be charged and be able to defend themselves in court.

If you prefer places that do things the other way, you may find China, North Korea, or Myanmar to be more hospitable places to live.

There is still the BBB and the Voting Rights Bill to consider. We can pass both and we should. Right now, the GOP and Trump are getting some attention. I do not believe that BBB and Voting Rights have been jettisoned.

In a sense, all the Trump attention keeps things at an even keel…mainly because grown-ups can handle it.

I think the closest I’ve gotten was Scott Peters decades ago. Not sure that lying sob counts.

We already have a freakout expert; we didn’t need another one. @sniffit does the job way more than adequately

When you don’t have a legitimate argument It’s always best to attack the moniker. It adds credibility to your superiority.

Gratuitous ad hominem? When have I ever done that to anyone here like that?
