Looks like this investigation will be a dud.
If this is the blockbuster stuff they’re leaking before the report comes out, Barr has a lot more work to do to make it favorable to Trump.
The alteration may well have been insignificant and in no way diminishing the validity of the FISA application and subsequent warrant, but Trump and the RWNM will play it as if Obama had handed over the nuclear codes to North Korea, Iran and Russia. and ordered the FBI to shoot the entire GOP leadership and Trump on sight. And their idiot base will fall for it 100%, being brainwashed imbeciles. It will also allow them to discredit or at least distract from and dilute impeachment, because the media will cover it as if it’s a lot worse than it actually is, because it’s great for ratings and it doesn’t want to be accused of bias. The GOP’s going to pound this every chance it gets, especially in impeachment proceedings. It’s irrelevant that it lacks substantive merit. So long as it scores points, they’re all in.

Two basic points:
Sure, the FBI got caught playing games to get warrants. That’s abhorrent, and par for the course. They should be slapped down and hard. I’d expect a good looking into lots of other warrants will find similar patterns of misbehavior.
Just because you get away with murder because the cops were playing games to get the evidence doesn’t absolve you of killing the person.
