The chief of the Justice Department’s counterintelligence division has reached out to Trump’s lawyers in recent weeks telling them that the DOJ believes the ex-president is still clutching government documents he unlawfully took when he left the White House, according to the New York Times, CNN, the Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg.

Fox News executives tried to stop Fox Business anchors Lou Dobbs and Maria Bartiromo from letting then-Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani and Krakenista Sidney Powell go on their shows to peddle the Big Lie, the lawyer said during a court hearing on Wednesday.

A lawyer for Fox didn’t dispute the Dominion attorney’s accounts.
It is a funny media company where executives can’t control the on air talent. The air belongs to Fox News not Lou Dobbs or Maria Bartiromo.

Sasse Expected To Peace Out
A quibble. The composition of the senate is kind of important right now. When a US Senator resigns in the middle of his/her term, the public needs to know (1) which party and which state, (2) how the replacement will be chosen, and (3) how much time is remaining in the term.
The announcements yesterday very helpfully had (1), Christina has (2) above. Any word on (3)?

I think it’s a matter of perception with people who would even consider voting for a loose cannon. Not only are there the newcomer crop of crazies like Boebert, you have established crazies like Gosar, Roy, Cruz, and Paul. And you have these pustulent seething blobs of packaged talking points like McCarthy. But they all get reelected, mainly to make sure governance doesn’t happen. Scandal isn’t really an issue. So I didn’t pay for an abortion? So I forgot she also had my child? Jesus. Communist. Woke. Inflation. Gasoline. Hamburger. I rest my case.
