DOJ Assures Skeptical Judge It Didn’t Do Roger Stone Any Favors To Delay Prison | Talking Points Memo

Federal prosecutors told the judge in Roger Stone’s case that the “only reason” that they are going along with Stone’s request to delay his surrender date is that doing so is in line with a broad policy from the Justice Department for the COVID-19 pandemic.

They need to give him an ankle bracelet and set the range to a single room.

Stone’s BBF Trump is hell bent on re-opening the country for business despite rising Covid-19 infections!

Thus, Stone should be in jail now because if the country is reopening for business, then the business of justice should also be on going!

ICYMI:

Buzzfeed had to FOIA to get some unredacted portions of the Mueller Report to discover that Stone had Informed Trump

…in advance that WikiLeaks would be releasing documents embarrassing to the Clinton campaign and subsequently informed advisers that he expected more releases would be coming,

Coordination galore and COLLUSION after all those chants of “No collusion” a lifetime ago!

I’m OK with this, as long as Stone is confined to a limited area, i.e. chained to a large anvil in a small closed room filled with starving rats.

What would be so wrong with simply denying the request!!! Put the felon in jail immediately and then let his lawyers waste as much time as they care to donate. Let him serve at least a little bit of time before LowBarr comes to the rescue, before we get another fucking Flynn who doesn’t even serve a day!

Those poor cats. You do realize that Stone’s incredibly toxic, don’t you?

No no… nothing to see here, ignore the whistle blower under oath at congress saying that stone has repeatedly being given favors due to direction from the top of the DOJ.

Barr, Stone and Trump have got it made.

If they can make November 2020 never occur.

Heck, if they put Stone in prison and he contracts COVID-19, that’s just a win-win, anyway.

Ninth Circuit rules that Trump lacks the authority to transfer military construction funds to build his border wall. The only problem is that, thanks to a stay #SCOTUS issued 11 months ago, he did it anyway. This is why these stays matter—it’s impossible to un-ring this bell.

There “is no instance in which this Office has opposed a request to extend a self-surrender date during the pandemic,” they said, pointing to three other recent cases where they went along with similar delay requests.

3 other cases where they have behaved similarly? Curious how many people surrendered during this period and were told they had no options. And who had no endless supply of lawyers.

And no iphone or computer access. He can hand write letters using golf pencils like inmates do.

And a uniform of scratchy rough fabric. No air conditioning. A bathroom with one thin towel and shards of soap. A diet of all starches, he can do maintenance work for commissary money to buy fresh carrots for roughage.
