Hump did say “peaceful” once, but then repeated “Fight!” 16 times, and walking with rioters down to the Capitol (no distance problem in them words). Add in the very violent rhetoric of other speakers at Hump’s rally.

The planning and the rhetoric are all on social media and the video. To compare with the unproven allegations of over-investigated “scandals” of VP Biden and SoS Clinton is comical, but assuming no statue of limitations, that is a price to pay to convict Hump (and Biden/Clinton were not impeached while in office).

According to what I have read, the organizers of the “Stop the Steal” rally did not originally plan to march on the Capitol. We’re told the march was added to the agenda at the insistence of the White House, which means Trump wanted it days in advance of his speech. You could say the whole thing was his idea.

As paid subscribers we all get to comment on the reporting on this site. The “all Trump, all the time” content of TPM, reflected during the campaign by space devoted to trump versus Biden, and by the continued, post-inaugural obsession with him is tedious to many. Apparently, not to all.
