Discussion for article #226619
Geraldo Rivera’s legal expertise???
Jesus wept.
Anytime Geraldo mentions his “legal background,” he should be reminded of Al Capone’s vault.
Sadly, I clicked on this.
He graduated law school in 1969, “practiced” for a year (defending members of a Puerto Rican activist group), then was hired as a reporter. Some “legal expertise!”
The video from the store will NEVER be introduced as evidence in the shooting. It is totally irrelevant. Like Jerry Rivers is.
I’m confused.
I keep hearing that “the left” keeps injecting race yet here you have Geraldo Rivera using his “expertise” in the legal field and repeatedly injecting race into the outcome of a presumed trial.
So, either we can stop pretending that racism is over and there are no problems, never was, never have been or acknowledge that many sides see race as an issue here - even people on FOX as well as a lot of race baiters on the right.
You can’t have it both ways.
“We’re the greatest country in the world and everybody who faces any
sort of criminal indictment or charges is innocent before proven guilty
in a court of law,” Faulkner said.
So how was Brown given a death sentence?
They’re both correct they’re just talking about two different subjects.
That’s exactly what I was thinking. It’s highly prejudicial and has no bearing on the case. It would be like showing a video of a rape victim dancing seductively shortly before being raped by a man who didn’t see her dancing. Not only doesn’t it even remotely give him the right to rape her, he didn’t even know she was behaving in a sexually seductive manner in the first place. If Geraldo was such a legal expert he’d know that.
Also, I find it quite interesting that Geraldo seems to be identifying as white. He’s not, no matter how badly he wishes he were.
I’m not sure if the surveillance video would’ve been admissible at first but it hardly matters now that it’s been released.
“During an appearance on “Outnumbered,” Rivera was asked to apply his
legal expertise to the case surrounding Brown, who was fatally shot by a
police officer in Ferguson, Mo.”
Geraldo is an expert? At what? Finding Al Capone’s “treasure”? If Mr Rivera were a “legal expert” he’d be working as a lawyer rather than as a hack journalist at Fox News. What a bottom feeder. Faulkner was very correct calling Geraldo on his display of ignorance.
and the title of this program is “Outnumbered”? What is this? Fox feels outnumbered? Have they begun institutionalizing their victimhood now?
Never argue with a “ratings whore” like Geraldo Rivera.
It is a battle with an unarmed opponent.
The police chief precluded the tape from being introduced the minute he stated that Wilson had no knowledge of the “robbery” when Wilson stopped Brown.
If they change their story now, Wilson could be indicted for perjury.
I think Geraldo got his law degree by sending in $5 in response to an ad on a matchbook cover.
But you stayed for the canapes and sparkling conversation.
I am not a legal eagle but it seems to me that the release of that tape and the subsequent discussion of it (even the Chief of FPD said it wasn’t related to the later killing) will have clearly tainted any jury pool I think. The DOJ told the chief not to release it. He chose to not listen to them.
Like watching two ding-a-lings arguing over the last ding-dong.
Uh, bit of a typo? Brown could be indicted for perjury?
After he’s already been killed?
Thank you. I’ll make the correction! (Note to self: no multi-tasking while posting)
