They do owe us a lot, but thankfully mostly they’ve been forgiving enough not to give it to us.

Being an Irish-Geman American, I too have felt the sting of racism. I’ll tell ya, if I had a nickle for each time I heard someone say, hey look, here comes Hans McWeinerschnitzel. I’ll tell ya, I don’t get no respect, no respect at all.

Clearly the guy who thinks the “white man has done more for the black man in this country” has never read Taylor Branch’s biography of Martin Luther King or Wilmon’s Slavery by Another Name, or watched Roots or 12 Years a Slave.

Ignorance never gets old…but clearly many of the old still get ignorant.

So who is gonna take responsibility for waking up the Old White Male Grievance Industry from their naps?

The funny/sick thing about this is that this is the crap racists have been talking since before the Civil War. When Lincoln ran for president, the opposition line was that if blacks were freed, whites would end up as slaves. That made no sense whatsoever, but it got the idiots riled up and that served the purpose of the people in power. The more things change, the more they stay insane.

I’ll tell you what’s irritating…having the facts on your side and Democrats still refuse to play hardball. All this crap about a Benghazi ‘scandal’ when the real scandal is that the GOP voted against increased embassy security months prior to ambassador Steven’s death…so why not just say “THE REPUBLICANS HAVE AMBASSADOR STEVEN’S BLOOD ON THEIR HANDS”? It would force the media to cover that aspect of the 'scandal;…so why don’t Dems do it? Because Democrats are effete cowards who disdain confrontation. Unfortunately the future holds NOTHING BUT CONFRONTATION, just like Chuck D said…and our side just doesn’t get it. Gonna be a bumpy ride folks.

People like these callers make me happy to know that this country will probably not have another white male president for at least the next couple of decades.

Mark my words: there will be violence. WASP America isn’t giving up it’s seat of power willingly. They want Apartheid. Will use violence to get it, or die trying.

Sorry but I have to disagree.

The “effete Democrats” caricature assumes a fair and balanced fourth estate. Not that they couldn’t play the game a little better, but they are in a nearly impossible position through no fault of their own.

We are sliding into the abyss.

Okay. Thank ya, Boss. Now kiss my royal diasticutis. (Aimed only at the caller who made the asinine remark.)

What the corporate news media cares about is first and foremost ratings, which bring profits. Controversy brings ratings. Republicans bring the controversy, false and insane controversy, but controversy nonetheless. Democrats have earned the stereotype. Time and time again when these false controversies pop up, Democrats hem and haw and are much more likely to half apologize and say that they too are concerned INSTEAD OF FIGHTING BACK.

These white whiners don’t quite hold a candle to the Germans who seventy years ago complained about how Germany was oppressed by Jews. But with a little practice these “Americans” will be marching up and down every Main Street under their White Power banners.

Had to go to Urban Dictionary to learn what a diasticutis was and their example was "do not put your diastaticus on the table!` which made my day.

I think it would be impossible to find the accomplished and fearless black man or woman who’d want to even run knowing the established racism he or she would confront. Several years of campaigning, eight years of holding of office all the while being told he is a lowly creature.

Absolutely. Because they bought hundreds upon thousands of Black people from that evil Africa and put them on slave cruise ships (all expense, one-way, mind you). For the ones that made it to America (trip was a little bumpy) they were given jewelry for their feet and hands. Some families chose to be separated and were sold…errr… I mean chose employment on plantations. Many of the women were raped romanced by their masters. Men were given light swats if they disobeyed. After many many years, a war was fought and some president said they did not have to work for other people. Still, they were given the privilege to live separately; schools, water fountains, stores, not voting. But there was still fun times for them - like being invited to campfires on their lawns or to social gatherings where some were even hung on a tree (like a pinata!). Ahhh, good times. After many many years of that, they were granted equal rights (even though they had them all along, something the history books won’t tell you!).

Yep, Blacks owe the White man a huge thanks. Hope they give it to them. At least send an ecard or something.

Yep. They said the same thing when Sen. Obama was running for president. The. same. thing.

My observation is that Democrats are treated with a different standard by the media. Hyperbole from a Democrat earns “four Pinocchios,” whereas a bald-faced lie from a Republican gets a “half-true.”

A lot of Democrats tend to believe that “the truth will out;” people will eventually get it and connect the dots. They don’t. Progressive journalists like Paul Krugman understand this and believe that the truth has to be constantly and aggressively reiterated to the masses so that it sinks in and in turn get criticized by many in the media for being “shrill” and repeating the same old messages and not saying anything new.

To the MSM, Republicans, like real manly men are “passionate”, Democrats, like women, are “shrill”.

The MSM wants shiny new objects to talk about and obsess over and Republicans know that a constant barrage of lies and phony controversies based on them are the easiest shiny objects to come up with. And there’s very little blow-back because the MSM sort of expects it, their base believes it’s in a good cause - ends, justify means - or they actually believe the bullshit, most of the electorate are disengaged, and Democrats are left thinking, “Say, what?”
