"National Republican Senatorial Committee Executive Director Ward Baker is encouraging Senate candidates to . . . "
. . . make like good little lemmings and follow Trump over the cliff.
Its hard to believe that Repugs can be that foolish, but we can always hope. I just Trump hope doesnât take their families with them.
Yes.
I agree; jump on the tigerâs back and ride him all the way to victory!
By the way,
âUnderstand the populist points Trump makes and ride that wave,â Baker writes.
Rumpâs points arenât about populism theyâre about fascism. I realize they seem to be indistinguishable to a Rethug but Bernie Sanders is much more about delivering a populist message.
EDIT TO ADD: I realize Iâm in disagreement with Josh on this and maybe heâs right. Iâm using the term to separate Rump from what is truly a populist message.
Are those coattails or shit trails?
Did anyone tell Wade that embracing Trump means that those candidates now have to answer those questions.
And seeing how they arenât Trump, they donât get âbenefit of doubtâ.
So, fascism?
In other words: Adopt the fascist, racist, xenophobic, sexist.and anti-disabled persons platform?!
Well, if 25% of this countryâs White demographic is fascist, racist, xenophobic, sexist.and anti-disabled persons and, most of all, ANGRY, it has to be âpopulistâ, right?
What else could it POSSIBLY beâŚ
Both
YEAH, baby!! Ride that wave!!
The thing is, this guy is right. Trump is riding the wave of Americaâs basest fears and may make it all the way to the nomination next year.
Itâs imperative that we donât allow 25% of the eligible voters to elect this guy to the Presidency. Imperative.
We can put down Trump and his inanity, but just like Sarah Palin, heâs appealing to the most vocal and the angriest among us - the ones who want smaller government, but donât touch my Medicare set. The ones that willingly, lovingly use the highways, the schools, the libraries, the airports and all the other entities that government supplies, but want to drown the âmanagementâ in the bathtub.
My husband said it right: if youâre so unhappy with the way the nation is run, try living in another country for awhile. Youâll be back. Quickly.
In the meantime, donât discount Trumpâs momentum. I donât see anyone, anywhere in the GOP making any inroads towards discrediting him. That will be up to us, the voters, to make happen. This could be far worse than Romneyâs demise last election.
this reminds me of the old joke about the people in hell which is a cesspool of shit up to their noses and when the latest dead sinner shows up to join them their advice is âdonât make a waveâ.
âTrump has risen because voters see him as authentic, independent, direct, firm, â and believe he canât be bought,â
The danger for them is that Trumpsters also believe to the bottom of their souls that YOU CAN.
GOP Memo: âTrump has risen because voters see him as authentic, independentâŚThese are the same character traits our candidates should be advancingâŚâ
ââŚby following this memo to fake authenticity and independence.â
Too bad not all 51% of voters wonât get the memo from Houston.
Except that rogue wave is rolling over a cesspit.
Shirt tails. Brownshirt tails, specifically.
Politics is about being able to adapt. The GOP campaign official is right. The GOP party apparatus and right wing establishment should line up behind Donald Trump.
Donald Trump is more charismatic than Ronald Reagan, John McCain and Sarah Palin combined. He is more intelligent than George Bush the Poppy, George Bush the Dumb Torturer, Richard Nixon the Crook, Mitt Romney the Pension Thief and Tax Cheat combined. He is quite possibly the best candidate on social and fiscal conservative issues in the last 50 years.
Look, like Palin before him, Trump excites the base. They also excite the low, the mean, and the ignoble.
Voters may say they do not like trade with China as they storm Walmart to buy all of their cheap Chinese Christmas presents. And letâs remember the TPP does not include China and is in fact a small protection against Chinese dominance in the marketplace.
