It’s a fascinating and perverse imagining of a future but it’s too dark for me. I won’t be back. Arrested Development, on the other hand makes me laugh a lot and that’s what I need lately. I never saw it on broadcast TV but streaming has quite a few episodes.

We have recently discovered “Archer” and are enjoying a rip roaring laugh fest. Sometimes it is best to take a step back and give ourselves a little light hearted rest.

I’m as eager as puppy with a toy thinking about which streaming show I’ll watch at the end of the day. I may dip back into Breaking Bad which I found endlessly thrilling.

One of the best TV shows of all time. I keep hoping Reddington (Blacklist) will not turn into another Walter White ala going so bad you can no longer support him.

As has been said:

“You can’t fix Stupid”!

Ritzheimer. Is he fluent in German?

So a terrorist doesn’t like it when he’s called a terrorist. Image how people feel about being called a terrorist when they’re not.

This is scary. This man is obviously deranged. i certainly don’t envy the police who will have to deal with the fallout this man wants to create.

He’s so committed and confused and armed, too. What a mess.

" Ritzheimer posted a threatening video online on Nov. 18 warning he was headed east to “see those assholes who called me a f------ terrorist.”

Ich denke, nein.

Even better: He should be a man, have the courage of his convictions, go to Saudi Arabia, and “stop at virtually every mosque along the way, flip them off and tell them to get f-----” But will he do that? Why, no! What a coward.

Just because they are Muslims, that doesn’t make them terrorists just like being white doesn’t either. But this guy, he’s a terrorist who happens to be white and chooses to be what he claims to hate the most.

Yah

Let’s flip this around for a fun thought exercise. Change the protagonist’s name to Khalid ibn al-Walid, a Muslim anti-Christian activist. Khalid makes identical statements, tweets, threats, etc. about Christians and posts a threatening video online on Nov. 18 warning he was headed west to “see those assholes who called me a f------ terrorist,”

He goes on to say “F–k you Christians. We’re gonna stop at virtually every church along the way, flip them off and tell them to get f-----," Khalid is known to have a small arsenal including semi-automatic weapons which he has been filmed carrying on many occasions. He’s headed for a western mega-church.

Compare/contrast how this would be covered in the media, including Fox News, and handled by the authorities. Talk amongst yourselves.

Let’s just make sure his gun rights aren’t infringed. Since he has no vocabulary, he’ll have to express himself in some way or another.

But look at that pretty colored cloth he waves around. Are you not mesmerized? And such a shiny and firm pole to attach it to.

You know, I stay in/near Islamberg at least 2x a year, and have been for about ten years…and I have to say I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone there - aside from other fly-fishers - who looks like they are from anywhere but Delaware county. It’s a charming little burg, but I’ve never seen anything vaguely resembling a mosque or any one wearing “middle eastern garb”. I mean…this guy is going to be deeply disappointed if he actually goes there.

Edit: So, Wikipedia reveals all: this is in Tompkins and is not actually an incorporated area but is merely a retreat/compound run by a Sufi (Islamic hippy, IMO) cleric. It’s also a little way away from Hancock.
