That would be Donald then!
Your comment made me go to Google and get some background on her. I incorrectly assumed Rep. Ros-Lehtinen was Catholic because she’s Cuban. I was wrong; she was born and raised Catholic but is now Episcopalian. My bad. I also found out that one of her children, Rodrigo (born Amanda) is a transgender LGBT rights activist. I had no idea of her background.
Thanks for making me learn something today
Big head or little head?
Yeah! Well unless it was the shoe size of one of those human chihuahuas walking across the mall. Then it’s too small to matter.
[tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick]
Our local paper puts interesting little national tid-bits full length left column on the front page…
one short paragraph. This doesn’t even deserve that much attention
Google Karen Hughes shoe size.
Got my $ on Virginia Fox; R, North Carolina.
was ann coulter in attendance?
That would have been only moderately less respectful then Congress constantly interrupting his speech.
Let’s hope Pope Frank has Dubya’s cat-like reflexes.
Actually thank you. I did not know of her religion.
WTF haha…is that a video posted by Rex Ryan?
And here’s a tip: if your shoes make you walk like a retard, then you ARE a retard.
That actually goes for guys too because, frankly, I’m sick of watching dudes in suits with shoes that are 2, maybe even 3, sizes too big flippity flop their ass down the street in the financial district as if their clown shoes are some sort of shoe version of a power tie or send some sort of subliminal signal that they’re packing pipe and are a paragon of masculine virility.
Meh, could simply be as innocent as a joke, referencing the infamous GWB incident.
Gee, let me guess. A white Republican gal, not necessarily a politician. Could be a wife, mistress or otherwise a Pubbie strumpet attached to a married Republican politician.
Was Ann Coulter there? Kelly Ayotte? Trump’s current main squeeze (and not his wife)? Haley what’s-her-face from Carolina? Megan Kelly? Andrea T (the tantrum-throwing I hate Obama gal fom Fox)?
Man, the list is endless!
Oh for fuck’s sake. Did you not hear them say that they were switching to live mike ON THE FLOOR OF THE THE UNITED STATES HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES because the Pope was seconds away from entering and they wanted to hear the announcement? The hot mike in question was the one pointed at the Doorkeeper of the House. Meaning it necessarily was picking up the voice of someone on the House floor.
How much more damn context do you need before you’re willing to deem it sufficiently newsworthy to be reported?
Update: Okay, the intemperate tone was uncalled for. Sorry about that. But I do think it’s a BFD that someone on the floor of the House during a Joint Session of Congress was uttering those words because the reference to the person who threw his shoes at Bush in Iraq was clear.
(And say what you will about him and the episode, only American baseball trains the “duck!” reflexes Bush used that day.)
My thoughts immediately leapt to dear sweet Ginny, my own Representative to Congress, but that wasn’t the metal on grindstone sound of her voice.
That such a comment would be uttered in this situation only confirms the continued existence of “hearts of stone” - even among those loudly proclaiming their Christianity. I just heard a prominent Republican who was asked about the Pope’s comments on embracing immigrants. He said “We need to build the wall and then consider possible future policy.” Talk about not hearing the message . . .
The ghost of Helen Thomas?
My guess, based on past behavior, would be Blackburn, but the accent didn’t sound as strong as I remember hers as being.
I guess this means that a crazy person got passed all the security.
