Imagine if a journalist employed by Fox was held hostage in a war zone or by a totalitarian regime. If Ailes was negotiating their release they would have a lot to fear for.

What I find interesting in all of this is that whether this version of the story or NY Magazine version of the story is true is pretty irrelevant. Either way, a major news network agreed to back off from any criticism of a presidential candidate if he’d stop criticizing them, or it threatened to go to war with a presidential candidate if he didn’t agree to back off from harsh criticism of them. That’s stunning.
Which illustrates quite clearly that Fox is not a news network with journalists, but a propaganda arm in the business of politics.
