Jimmy Carter did what ever he could to make life on Earth more like heaven and less like hell. We all die. I believe President Carter will be contented and peaceful at the end.

This saddens me immensely. He is a great man infinitely underappreciated. I hope he is at peace and need not suffer through the end.

I believe his three siblings as well as his mother succumbed to cancer.

God bless, President Carter. You are an inspiration. God comfort you and your family in the days ahead. Prayers

Well, that sucks. On the other hand, the man has made it to 90 years old, which isn’t exactly unimpressive.

Jimmy Carter and Ann Richards are the only two politicians I have been proud to cast a vote for.

A good man like Jimmy Carter deserves mercy from the God he loves so well.

And my beloved president Obama has just issued a heartfelt tribute to Jimmy Carter.

Really? IMO, that’s unfortunate because I have never been so proud to cast my vote for President Obama twice who has done so much to make lives better and and would do it all over again if I had the chance

Not that I believe it, but he does, and in his shoes I would not fear any judgments.

By all means, let’s elect a Democrat who will keep chipping away at all the damage the Bush years have done.

So do I. My brother-in-law is a thoughtful republican, one I can have a civil debate with but his wife? Ummm, no. She’s a Fox News addict. I’ve had the “own self interest” discussion with her… once. We’ve agreed to leave politics alone when my wife and I visit. But I see it like this:

I voted for him, but felt that Obama was too conservative. I supported HIllary because I believed she would stand up to the Republicans. Neither one of them made me particularly proud, and neither one of them strikes me as being as genuine and noble a person as Jimmy Carter is. In my eyes, he’s a hero.

President Carter continued to serve his country as a former president as well - what a wonderful role model for all who claim to be real, patriotic Americans.

Thank you for your work on ovarian cancer. My Mom died of ovarian cancer many years ago. She should have gone to a doctor much sooner but I don’t know that it would have meant a longer life back then. Early detection is so important in any cancer and ovarian is especially difficult to diagnose early.
