Wow.

He’s scum of the earth.

OK. C’mon. With all the stupid shit he’s been saying and doing, his poll numbers have got to fall of a cliff by now … don’t they?

Do we really have to beat the bushes for past examples of Trump’s outrageousness? Please, just focusing on his present campaign is sufficiently awesome.

Do we really want this man with his finger on the button? He’d probably nuke Las Vegas for denying him the right to build another failed project out there or France for finding him to be crude and ugly.

He seems charming. What an a$$.

Oh, the drip drip drip as the oppo teams drag his skeletons out of the closet is just getting started. I expect a continuous barrage of these sort of stories for several months. They know that they aren’t going to find a silver bullet, so they are going with the death by a thousand paper cuts instead.

He can bluster through a few of them, probably quite a few actually, but eventually the landslide of negative stories starts to wash away his responses. And, which is never good, it forces him into a defensive posture…he has to RESPOND.

Unless of course, Trump has been paying his own oppo research teams to do some deep digging. And then its REALLY popcorn time.

I’m guessing that disgust of breast feeding, misogyny, and spousal rape poll well among Republican primary voters.

Is it possible that we could actually see the GOP primary end up in a nuclear fallout zone?

Walker made a statement yesterday (or possibly the day before) that he thought it very possible that the GOP won’t know who the nominee is till right before the convention.

That’s a good indication that they are preparing for a long bloody fight. And if the Walker camp is preparing, you have to figure so are the others.

Well, the others that can. I am guessing about half of those on the debate stage fold before or right after Iowa…and all of the ones off the stage fold in a similar time frame.

This story is a great example of the picayune press ‘exclusives’ that will fill the airwaves as Trump, if his handlers are smart, goes dark to gin-up debate sizzle. Smug media might want to keep their own lip smacking and other candidate’s pouty morsels to a minimum as these bits from the Trumpian past will only boost the Donald’s poll numbers.

The face of the GOP.

Someone recently pointed out that, if a candidate has a single rich donor willing to shell out the money, it could keep candidates in the race a lot longer than necessary. They pointed to Santorum with regards to that. Thanks to Citizens United, the GOP race could end up being a blood bath and I don’t know how that will play in the general election since it then becomes possible that anyone pulling out of the race or not getting enough GOP support could decide to go it alone.

Because nothing is better than a Republican pimp slap, except maybe…

He has a lot of company in the GOP party. I feel that way about most of them "and some I suppose are nice people"

He just raised his approval numbers with the Phyllis Schlafly segment of the electorate by 22 points. Because no one hates women more than Republican women hate women.

The decision to go it alone, sans Trump, is not in the candidates hands, however. These big money guys aren’t interested in supporting a lone wolf that will be able to get absolutely nothing done once in office (which is what a 3rd party presidency would mean…no support for either party in Congress). If they want to go solo, the financial umbilical cord gets cut. And that ends that.

The bigger problem is its much harder for anybody to get a real feel for how this primary will shape up and play out…because the decisions are being made by a bunch of billionaires that give the press little to no face time. Or how or when they finally decide to put their own differences aside and get behind 1 person. But in the end, they will because of what I pointed out in the first paragraph.
