His wife better beg for her job back, they’re gonna have a huge pile of attorney’s fees to pay before he ends up in prison.

Any truth to the rumor that Christie is pushing a new law to make New Jersey’s prison cafeterias buffet style?

The noose is tightening, but very slowly. He’ll probably serve out his term as governor before he’s actually indicted, assuming the GOP isn’t insane enough to nominate him (and I still fear this because the other candidates are doomed to self-destruct and Christie’s brash aggressive debate performances are likely to go over big with the GOP primary electorate).

But Crisco is a special little flower! He yells at his constituents when they dare to disagree with him! He closes traffic lanes in order to wreak political revenge!! Is there a more corrupt, less likeable figure in politics today? Yes, Ted Cruz is the obvious answer, but so far, he seems to have kept his sharp nose clean. Christie is as dirty as my overdue laundry…hope he gets his in a big way very, very soon.

Peter Gibbons: Let me ask you something. When you come in on Monday and you’re not feeling real well, does anyone ever say to you, “Sounds like someone has a case of the Mondays?”

Lawrence: No. No, man. Shit, no, man. I believe you’d get your ass kicked sayin’ something like that, man.

–Office Space

Anyone who uses the phrase ‘the Mondays’ deserves to be punished. Otherwise good article. But that is no excuse for the headline.

Live by the scumbag, die by the scumbag. This is what happens when you surround yourself with the type of people who do dirty work. They’ll not only know all your dirty laundry, but will use it to their advantage when needed.

Speziale’s lawsuit, too, paints a grim picture of how Christie’s appointees ran the agency. After reporting what he considered as illegal conduct to his superiors at the agency – including Wildstein and Baroni – Speziale claims that the agency denied him the use of an official vehicle, yanked his security credentials, and revoked health benefits for his wife, Maggie, as she sought treatment for terminal breast cancer. Speziale also says the agency denied him permission to take a family medical leave to accompany her to Texas for treatment. Speziale resigned from the Port Authority in October 2013, Maggie Speziale died in April 2014, and he filed suit against the Port Authority two-and-a-half weeks later. (Read his complaint - embedded below. Seriously.)

Wow, there is no bottom that Christie and his cronies will not sink to. Gives me the creeps

Denying a man medical leave to be with his dying wife is something that doesn’t surprise me Christy would do. What a horrible despicable person Christy is.

I’ve long believed Christie’s brash, aggressive style will hurt him in the primary. Sure, Republicans love it when a Republican trashes a Democrat, or a Republican goes after a Republican squish who has dared to buck conservative ideology. That said, I doubt it will go over well when he’s hollering at Rand Paul, for instance, or someone popular with the conservative base. If/when he tries to pushback against someone further right by sounding moderately reasonable, he’ll risk further angering the cult of perpetual victimization. These people are constantly whining that Obama’s a bullying tyrant, imagine how aggrieved they’d feel if their favorite candidate was yelled at by Christie.

Christie is doomed. He’s like the fucking Godfather in Jersey! What a mess.

Same problem with Andrew Cuomo - the arrogant, aggressive mob boss style doesn’t play anywhere else in the country.

That is going to be a problem for the GOP this time around pretty much across the board. Because there is no leader or even leaders, so invariably, they ARE going to have to go after each other which will alienate some supporters of the vanquished.

Normally, that’s not that big of an issue, as the lesser beings are far too down the totem pole to really make an impact. But in today’s line up, the winner is probably going to have to end up pissing on roughly 80% of the party. And while obviously not all GOPers are going to carry a grudge, as a group, they have a much higher percentage of people who DO bare those types of grudges for a long time.

So its gonna happen. My guess is you are going to see the first signs of indignation before the summer’s out…probably after the first debate when roughly half of the candidates are banned from the stage.

i do not believe they are comparable

He has 3 year left on his term. If they wait to indict him, imagine how much more damage he could do to NJ.

You left out whiny. Cuomo is dreaming if he thinks he has a chance to be elected for national office.
