Yes. Yes, you did Rudeeee. You just didn’t expect anyone to care that you called a popularly elected President (twice mind you) a traitor.

If Giuliani’s family care about him, and they may not given the way he has conducted his family relationships, they should really get him into a good home before he says anything else. I, at a rather advanced age, still do not understand the need to wrap the political process in this warm, fuzzy “love” blanket. That the President or any elected official does his/her best for the people s/he represents is enough for me. Considering some of the actions of Giuliani & others of his ilk, all the “love” in the world wouldn’t make up for it - rather like the abusive partner in a bad relationship.

Dig that grave, Rudy, dig it!

I agree, and I add Giuliani and his blowtard cohorts to the list of those who threaten our way of life. On the plus side, this could be the “Herman Cain” moment for Scott Walker.

“I hope also that our president will start acting and speaking in a way that draws sharp, clear distinctions between us and those who threaten our way of life,” he concluded.

The only people who threaten the way of life of the American people are members of the oligarchy that pays the GOP, including creeps like Giuliani, to steal the last remnants of middle class life from the majority of the American people. To imply that some nation-state or non-state terrorist group is a threat to America and our way of life is so totally idiotic that only a red state yahoo who listens to the fat guy on the radio would believe it.

Let’s give Rudy a good dose of ignore. The WSJ diminishes itself by giving him space.

Quite honestly, i don’t understand why these specific remarks are garnering so much attention from the mainstream media. It is what the Republicans have been saying for 6+ years now. Every day, TPM highlights idiotic remarks made by some Republican, either a House member, party official, sheriff, mayor, school board member, etc. Republicans across the spectrum have made similarly hateful remarks about our president. What is it about these comments that have finally generated an uproar among the complacent media? Sure Rudy was “America’s mayor” for awhile, but he’s old and inconsequential at this point (or so i thought???). Interested if anyone has any thoughts about this.

“He was always a nasty piece of goods.” Love that, I will have to borrow it from time to time with your permission.

“After naming President Obama as the 20th hijacker on 9-11, Mayor Giuliani said he didn’t intend to question the President’s motives…”

There, fixed that for you, Rudy.

The media is interested in the comments of this creep because it generates internet hits, sells newspapers, and hypes viewership. What the media will not tell us is that Giuliani is responsible for the deaths of all those brave fire fighters who died on 9/11 and on whose graves he has stood for so long. Giuliani had 7 years to implement a communications system that would allow police and fire fighters to talk to each other and never made a move. As a consequence, police in helicopters that were circling the burning towers were well aware that the towers were about to collapse, but were unable to tell the fire fighters inside to get out NOW! As a consequence, they died. And based on their deaths, the creep, Giuliani ran for president.

My intended focus really was the effect

Exactly, Dr. Rudy’s rigorous scientific inquiry will examine work surface around the Petri dishes and the hallway outside the lab.

“I didn’t intend to question President Obama’s motives or the content of his heart.”

Why the WSJ failed to ask “why should we listen to someone so obviously out of control of his own rhetoric” goes to show how bad journalism reinforces public douchebaggery.

Good journalists of America: take Guiliani down!

Glad you cleared that up, Rudy. For a moment there, we were thinking you were an unpatriotic, racist moron.

Or, to be slightly conspiratorial, maybe this is a well-orchestrated “pushing of the envelope” to see just how far a certain right-wing party can push veiled racism. If so, Giuliani, despite his portliness might be, to mix a metaphor, the perfect flagpole. I also see the GOP pivoting back to the tried and true scare tactics of questioning Democrats’ national security and defense commitments prior to 2016.

No group threatens our way of life more than Republicans.

So now the great march back begins. Rudy’s a liar. Questioning motives is what his comments were about.
