Montana peeps, is Zinke dumb enough to threaten a senator on his own or was this a command from Donnie? At least he’s cemented his place in this cabinet by lying about it after the fact (and refusing to apologize when presented the opportunity).
In other words, he’s calling Senator Sullivan a liar. I’m sure that’ll help smooth things over.
The moon is a threat?
Oh, there is something very laughable here - your denials.
Murkowski characterized the phone call differently, later telling reporters that Zinke had relayed to her that President Donald Trump was not happy with her vote against proceeding to an Obamacare repeal vote.
To paraphrase Marshall McLuhan, sometimes the messenger is the message. Sure seems that way in this case.
The laughing non-denial denial—classy.
Why was he calling Murkowski and conveying a message about health care, which is not his area? Pathetic gangster lies.
Read the comments closely. He doesn’t deny the report, he calls it laughable. Non-denial, denial.
So he moons people too? I want details, but no photos please.
Par for the course of this administration. Another mini-me of Trump.
Only to the Lunatic class…
Well he did present himself atop a horse’s ass on his first day.

Whom to believe, the Senators involved or a Drumpf acolyte?
If he talks to the legislators all the time, what specifically was the purpose of this particular set of calls?
I read them. It’s a he-said/ s/he-said situation in the absence of a recording or transcript of the calls.
I’m no sure how stupid Zinke is. It’s certainly possible he’s stupid enough to make an overt threat. It’s also possible that he’s just smart enough to convey the message that His Orangeness is unhappy without overt threats. My point is that regardless of the presence or absence of an overt threat, the choice of messenger (SecInt is not the person you would expect to deliver this message – this is a HHS or CMMS deal and one would Price to deliver the message.)
As I said, sometimes the messenger is the message.
It appears that both Senators got the message. Murkowski’s committee has held up some Undersecretary appointments for Interior.
The faux bravado atop a non-denial denial is what’s “laughable”.
Also calling Senator Mukowski and Senator Sullivan liars in the press is only compounding one stupid move with another one.
“It wasn’t a threat per se. It was more like whatchacall an explanation of possible bad consequences.”
That’s not a moon, that’s a Death Star!!!
“I just know you’re gonna pay me that money you owe me by Friday. Oh, by the way, I’m sure you won’t mind if Vito and Guido stop by to visit that afternoon, they miss seeing you. What? Is that a threat?! Why no, Carl, everybody just loves you!”
It was a threat only if you take the meaning of the word “threat” literally. Zinke would never “threaten” a colleague. You can tell by his response he takes this matter very seriously. Oh wait…
