He’s still going on about this and it happened how many months ago? Obsess much?

How old is this guy? I’d beat him even if he was elderly. His face and behavior just scream for it.

This does deflect attention from the millions he’s looting from our treasury. Fortunately, most of us can keep track of both.

“Ryan Zinke on Monday defended his ‘konichiwa’ remark to a Japanese-American congresswoman by arguing that he ‘has friends that were Japanese families’…”

Shorter Racist: “Some of my best friends are…”

Next, he’ll be telling us, “Don’t get me wrong – she’s one of the good ones.”

For Breitbart et al. the way it works is if one attack was over something mostly clumsy and ill-advised, then every attack is equally questionable. You go, “Does it make you bitter, Secretary Zinke, when you’re getting attacked just for saying hello to someone? I mean, how do you deal with this partisan hatred?”

It probably wouldn’t have seemed as racist if he hadn’t pulled his eyes up in a slant.

Me telling Zinke to FUCK OFF is appropriate because I have TPM friends —

Zinke, Breitbart, and their ilk just go on with their simplistic assertions. She’s a fourth generation American (as it says on her Wikipedia page). So, it’s ridiculous to think that she and her family say konnichiwa to each other, or to anyone else for that matter. Zinke puts his ignorance on display because he fails to recognize that she’s a native-born, English speaking American, just like he is. His saying konnichiwa to her is equivalent to her saying “guten Tag” to him because his ancestors are German. Obviously, he’s an insensitive lout, if nothing else. Just what Trump needs.

Zinke’s logic is as goofy as his appearance.

They’re some of my best friends, too.

Clean and articulate?

Now that Roseanne has been cancelled, can we somehow find a way to say, “sayonara” to this cretin?

Yes, Virginia. Some people are really just that fucking stupid…

Please, that would be “Guten Morgen.”

My mind boggles because this is the kind of s*** that was old when I was a kid in the 60s and 70s. “Some of my best friends” was always followed by “but you wouldn’t want your daughter to marry one”. It’s like the kids who called my cousin Robert “Roberto” because his mother was from spain, so that must be his “real” name. We were supposed to have gotten over crap like this.

As with his boss, a personality like that takes a criticism over his oafishness and lack of class very deeply. The ego is glass and full of cracks.

I’m missing the controversy here as well. If it was 10am, then Ohayou gozaimasu was still “in effect.” If he had accompanied the Konnichi-wa with an exaggerated bow or Charlie Channed the pronunciation, then, yes, he was clearly being a dick. Otherwise, I think he was just trying too hard.
